Listen up and stand in awe as the title track of the new Orden Ogan album, The Order Of Fear, is finally ready to take over the metal world. In addition, the German power metallers are excited to share further details on their new record, which will see the light of day on July 5 via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM).
Graced by another brilliant Dan Goldsworthy artwork with layout duties handled by Tim Eckhorst, the band's very own vocalist, Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann, took care of the eleven new tracks' mixing and mastering at his own Greenman Studios. The album continues their career-defining saga of Alister Vale in a spectacular but also grandly dark way while marking a new era for the group.
Promised to be a "clearly downscaled, more metal and to the point" according to Seeb, the second appetizer from The Order Of Fear, its title track, shows that Orden Ogan aren't a band of empty word and delivers a powerful, straight forward, and highly melodic piece of heavy metal, including a larger than life trademark chorus.

J'ai toujours bien aimé ce groupe sur album (par contre je n'ai jamais vraiment été convaincu en live) et ces deux titres me plaisent bien, même s'ils sont très classiques pour le style
perso Orden Ogan j´ai complètement lâché après Gunmen. Il ne reste que le chanteur du line up d´origine et les productions sont tellement lisses que je n´accroche pas du tout.
Par contre je remercie quand même pour ce post, parce que grâce à lui je suis allée voir sur metal archives où j´ai appris que l´ancien guitariste que j´aimais tant voir jouer est maintenant chez Grave Digger. Hop hop prochain projet: voir GD dans cette configuration!

Amusant, mon intérêt va croissant selon l'ordre des vidéos dans ce sujet : pas du tout pour "The Order of Fear", plutôt pas mal pour "My Worst Enemy", sympa pour "Conquest". Par contre pourquoi avoir copié - collé ce changement d'octave à la fin de chaque titre ?

C'est bien fait tout ça, mais j'arrive pas à me défaire de l'effet "trop plein" : toujours ce son bombastique et lisse, les choeurs sur-puissant... ça manque de tranchant, ça cogne fort mais avec un gant en ouate, ça pique pas trop... J'avais encore bien aimé le précédent (Final Days), mais là je baille (et pourtant, les mélodies sont chouettes).
Je mets les pieds où je veux, et c'est souvent dans la gueule!
