Je n'en comprends toujours pas l'intérêt, un simple remix suffisait à la rigueur.

Mais le mec ne se rend pas compte que c'était purement et simplement à chier ?
Enfin Battle Hymn-new-version c'est plutôt moyen, mais alors la nouvelle mouture de Kings donne vraiment envie de se gerber sur les godasses.
Et là c'est un autre intouchable qui y passe. C'est un nauffrage ce mec, il aurait du continuer à faire des procès à Rhapsody - c'est pas + constructif, mais ça évite de massacrer les classiques.
Je mets les pieds où je veux, et c'est souvent dans la gueule!
Bonne nouvelle : après avoir tout enregistré, le groupe s'est rendu compte que le résultat était nul et dans un élan de lucidité a décidé de ne pas le sortir !
Mauvaise nouvelle : ils vont tenter une nouvelle fois de l'enregistrer dans les prochains mois.
MANOWAR bassist Joey DeMaio has offered an update on the studio sessions for the upcoming re-recorded version of the band's fourth studio album, "Sign Of The Hammer", which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024. Writing on his official web site, Joey said: "Manowarriors, We just celebrated the anniversary of 'Sign Of The Hammer' — an album that’s meant the world to us and to you for over 40 years. Now let me give you an update on the re-recording.
"We announced this project a while back, and many of you have been asking: Where is it? Fair question. You deserve an honest answer, so here it is: Re-recording a beloved album is a massive responsibility for us. These songs are part of your lives. They're hymns that have carried you through your toughest moments.
We don't take that lightly.
"So here's what happened: We recorded everything. We listened. And we weren't satisfied. The sound wasn't there yet. It wasn't the crushing, earth-shaking power we demand from ourselves — and that you deserve.
"So what did we do? We took apart our studios, tried new equipment configurations. We recorded again. But still not quite 'it'. And then it was time to prep for tour and hit the road.
"Could we have rushed it out? Sure. But that's not who we are.
We've never compromised, and we’re not starting now.

Niveau inspiration ils sont sous la glace depuis 30 ans donc on essaie de se faire des tunes comme on peut. Pathétique.
Je rigole je rigole mais ça reste le groupe que je n'ai jamais vu en live de ma vie ...
Entièrement d'accord avec Weik : c'est beaucoup plus simple que de composer de nouveaux titres.
Effectivement "Sign of the hammer", qui est de mes albums préférés du groupe soit dit en passant, mérite davantage un bon remix que d'un reenregistrement...
En même temps j'ai réécouté leur dernier disque (The Lord Of Steel) il y a un mois... Si c'est pour pondre des bouses pareilles il vaut mieux qu'ils réenregistrent des vieux albums...
S'ils n'ont plus du tout d'inspiration ce qui me paraît également évident, et qu'ils ont besoin de sous pour se payer le coiffeur et les costumes, ils pourraient à la rigueur sortir des albums live d'archive? J'imagine qu'ils en ont des tiroirs-caisses entiers, dans le lot ils pourraient bien trouver des tournées à la fois anciennes et récentes.
En outre cela demande moins d'efforts (disons un mixage et quelques overdubs ni vu ni connu) qu'un réenregistrement qui n'aura sans doute aucun intérêt vu la qualité très discutable des précédents.
