Roadrunner Records has set an August 16 release date (one day earlier internationally) for the new MACHINE HEAD DVD, entitled "Elegies".
The disc will consist of a concert recorded at Brixton Academy in December of 2004. The live footage will be broken up every two or three songs with interstitial segments featuring the following themes:

2. The making of both videos shot during the "Through the Ashes..." album cycle ("Imperium" and "Days Turn Blue to Gray")
3. Behind-the-scenes tour footage.
The DVD will also include the promo videos for "Imperium" and "Days Turn Blue to Gray".

In a recent interview with The Flint Journal, MACHINE HEAD frontman Robert Flynn had the following to say about the upcoming DVD: "Rather than capture one night, we wanted to capture a vibe of the tour. It's kind of like a tour documentary and it's just two weeks of the tour. It's got stuff from the different shows, the main Brixton (Academy) show where we had the sound and lights and a lot of cameras.
"Every three or four songs, there's going to be a 5- to 10-minute mini movie. The first one is the making of the record, the second one is life on the road — from super fun (stuff) to incredibly boring to super fun — and a thing on the fans. It's all going to be spliced in like a movie."

After months of speculation, most of the final details for Machine Head's upcoming DVD "Elegies" have been officially announced! Scheduled to street on August 16th, their first-ever DVD release will focus around (and contain the entirety of) Machine Head's performance at London's Brixton Academy, filmed on December 5th, 2004. In addition, the disc will feature three behind-the-scenes vignettes, focusing on the making of the band's newest record "Through the Ashes of Empires", life on the road with Machine Head, and an up-close and personal look at the greatest horde of lunatics in the world - Machine Head fans. Viewers will have the choice of watching the vignettes interstitially (injected into the concert footage) or on their own. On top of that, three music videos - "Imperium", "Days Turn Blue To Gray" (both uncensored and uncut) and "The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears" - will also be included, each accompanied by its own behind-the-scenes "Making of" documentary
