IL Y A LONGTEMPS QUE J'AI PAS ECOUTE CE GROUPE EST CE QUE LES DISQUES DE CES DERNIERE ANNEES SONT DE même QUALITE QUE LES ANCIENS?

Tracii Guns (L.A. GUNS, BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION) a rejoint Quiet Riot. Il leur manque encore un bassiste pour que le line-up soit complet...

QUIET RIOT vocalist Kevin DuBrow and drummer Frankie Banali have announced the group's line-up for 2006. Joining the group on guitar is axe slinger Tracii Guns, formerly of L.A. GUNS and BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION. A new bass player will be announced shortly. The newly revamped Quiet Riot will enter the studio in January to record new songs for their next studio release, the first new material from the band since the release of Guilty Pleasures in 2001. Look for Quiet Riot tour dates in 2006.

n'importe quoi ce tracii........m'enfin le chèque devait être très gros....IL ATTEND QUOI POUR RETOURNER DANS LA GUNS........quoique le nouvel album de LA GUNS, bah il est vraiment excellent.....même sans lui.....Finalement qu'il reste avec Brides of Destruction, ça fait toujours un bon groupe de plus......par contre je persiste, le chèque devait être gros pour rejoindre Quiet Riot !!!

Pour le bassiste y z'ont po réussi à faire revenir Rudy Sarzo ?

Sais pas s'il y a vraiment eu un chèque... Quand on voit le peu de gens que certaines gloires des 80's ramènent en concerts, je me demande s'il y a vraiment de l'intéret pour ce groupe.. d'autant que ce n'est pas la première fois que l'on tente de le remettre sur les rails..

Bon ben Tracii vient déjà de quitter le groupe

Less than a month after we announced that axe slinger Tracii Guns (BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION, ex-L.A. GUNS) had joined Los Angeles rockers QUIET RIOT, singer Kevin DuBrow has issued the following press release that Guns is no longer a member of the band. His statement reads as follows:

"Although we all had high hopes and the best intentions for the success of our association, it became evident collective that the musical diversity of styles would not work to our mutual satisfaction. Rather than go into the recording studio unsure of the outcome, Quiet Riot and Tracii Guns have decided to amicably part company but remain friends and hold each other in the highest respect. Quiet Riot will still enter the studio in late January to record new songs for the next studio release, the first new material from the band since the release of Guilty Pleasures in 2001. Look for Quiet Riot on tour upon completion of the new recordings."

C'est l'auberge espagnole ce combo... mais Bon Tracy Guns dans ce groupe c'était pas bon de toute maniere...
Mais bon moi j'étais fan de QUIET RIOT dans les 80's... j'ai tagué des 10aine de fois leur nom au marqueur sur les murs des parkings souterrain !

j'aimerais bien les revoir...

For the new recordings Kevin DuBrow (vocals) and Frankie Banali (drums) are joined by Tony Franklinon bass (ex-THE FIRM, BLUE MURDER), session guitarist Neil Citron, and the voice of rock, Glenn Hughes (ex-DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) who performed a vocal duet with Kevin DuBrow on the classic 1969 SPOOKY TOOTH song "Evil Woman" and also contributed the bass track for that song as well.

En fait, au niveau du lineup, il reste plus que Kevin DuBrow et Frankie Banali !!! Rudy Sarzo et Carlos Cavazo, y sont plus !!!

Au niveau musique, je m'en suis arrêté à "the wild and the young" !!

Le groupe de heavy rock US continue malgré la mort de leur chanteur Kevin Dubrow il y a 3 ans.

After the tragic passing of co-founding QUIET RIOT singer Kevin DuBrow in 2007, many figured that the band was over. But while going through the vaults of vintage video material for an upcoming documentary of the band's history, the spark was reignited once more for drummer Frankie Banali to kick QUIET RIOT back in gear. The easy part was filling the guitar and bass slots — as former members Chuck Wright (bass) and Alex Grossi (guitar) promptly signed on. However, having to fill DuBrow's large shoes was no small task.

A longtime fan of heavy metal, singer Mark Huff came to Banali's attention while fronting a California-based VAN HALEN tribute band (that focused on the "Sammy Hagar era"). A true Cinderella story, Huff auditioned via a cattle call audition, promptly blew Banali away, and got the gig. After getting the blessing from DuBrow's mother to carry on with QUIET RIOT (and to celebrate her son's music), the group was ready to rock once more.

QUIET RIOT hit mega-success with their first-ever U.S. release in 1983, the classic "Metal Health". Spawning two hit singles that have gone on to become synonymous with heavy metal — "Cum On Feel the Noize" and "Metal Health" — the "Metal Health" album went on to become the first-ever metal U.S. debut to hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard album chart, and resulted in a solid year of sold-out arena shows and non-stop MTV video airplay. However, it was the DuBrow-Banali-Wright-Grossi lineup that proved to be DuBrow's favorite touring line-up (and also, most stable).

QUIET RIOT is currently firming up plans for a full U.S. tour — their first in three years. And with the aforementioned documentary on the horizon, and the band's music being used in hit films ("The Wrestler", "Tropic Thunder"), video games ("Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks The '80s"), and even musicals ("Rock of Ages") — as well as QUIET RIOT being name-checked in songs by WEEZER and BEN FOLDS — QUIET RIOT remains a major force in heavy metal. Changement de chanteur, ils prennent temporairement celui de Montrose.

Resurrected '80s hard rockers QUIET RIOT have parted ways with their frontman of a little over a year, San Diego, California-based vocalist Mark Huff.

The band has recruited ex-MONTROSE singer Keith St. John for the following shows:

Je vais pas la jouer vieux hardos sur le retour, mais très franchement ce groupe n'avait d'intérêt que par la voix et le charisme de Kevin Du Brow.
Ce serait comme imaginer Twisted sister sans Dee Snider.
Ce que j'ai vu au Bang Your Head a confirmé ce que je pense.
Le chanteur avait zéro charisme.... et le groupe aussi motivé que les mecs qui jouaient dans l'école des fans.
Au delà de la présence de Dubrow, ce groupe n'a à mon avis pas assez de bons titres pour s'assurer une carrière posthume comme Thin Lizzy.

Perso, j'aime bien leur album de 88 avec Paul Shortino...

C'est carrément ça....excepté Metal Health, Party All Night et The Wild and The Young, je vois pas de gros classiques à leur actif. Ils se sont fait connaître grâce aux covers de Slade et la grande gueule de Du Brow et basta.

J'ai jamais écouté Quiet Riot avec R.Roads ça se trouve facilement en CD ?

Metal Health est quand même bourré de classiques du début à la fin, mais il est vrai que le reste de leur disco, c'est pas trop ça. (le titre "Twild and the young" est excellent mais l'album en lui même reste moyen). Cela dit, y'a des groupes qui se sont fait une carrière assez longue avec un seul album, mais là sans Dubrow, c'est un peu n'importe quoi

Il y a un album qui s'appelle "Quiet Riot -The Randy Rhoads years" qui est une compilation de titres enregistrés avec lui.
Les 2 premiers albums (Quiet Riot I & Quiet Riot II) je ne sais pas si on les trouve encore.

Après oui, il faut avoir à l'esprit que Metal health a été le premier album de Hard Rock a avoir été classé premier au Billboard et cela a marqué un tournant dans l'histoire du hard et donc du Metal. Ils ont ouvert la voie à d'autres groupes de Hard Us.
C'est surtout en cela que le groupe est devenu légendaire.

Mais en même ils ont construit leur carrière sur une (excellente) reprise de Slade.

Les disques sont honnêtes, c'est du bon Hard Rock , mais voilà, c'est pas Thin Lizzy.
