Doug Aldrich de retour dans DIO?

C'est pas encore fait mais ça s'en rapproche...

Despite the fact that a message was posted on Ronnie James Dio's official web site yesterday announcing guitarist Doug Aldrich's return to DIO as a "permanent" addition to the band, a new message on the site indicates that "we jumped the gun a bit with the announcement of Doug Aldrich's rejoining DIO permanently. In speaking with Wendy Dio [Ronnie's manager], we learned from her in fact, 'we (DIO) are in talks with him about the POSSIBILITY of his joining the band permanently. We will keep you posted on what develops with this situation."

Aldrich is currently touring with DIO filling in for an injured Craig Goldy. Craig was previously said to have hurt his arm while touring Russia and was trying to continue to play the shows on painkillers, but was forced to leave the trek earlier in the month.

non je ne pense pas ... DIO n'a jamais fait partie d'un groupe à 2 guitaristes et ce n'est pas maintenant que ça risque de changer.

Cela m'étonnerait qu'ils gardent Goldy si Aldrich revient, Goldy c'est un peu le remplaçant habituel de dernière minute

Quand il a créé son groupe en 82-83 on nageait en pleine vague heavy metal avec des groupes à 2 guitaristes (JP, Iron Maiden, Scorpions, ...), lui n'en a pris qu'un. Je suppose qu'il n'a jamais jugé nécessaire la présence de 2 gratteux car la puissance d'une seule guitare lui suffisait (et du fait aussi de son habitude des groupes à 1 guitariste : ELF, RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH).

Et puis ça m'étonnerait que Aldrich et Goldie acceptent de jouer ensemble, y'aurait sûrement quelques tensions entre eux non ?

Dans les années 60 il était dans des groupes à 2 guitares

Mais maintenant c'est impossible pour son groupe à mon avis, hormis d'avoir un guitariste studio et un pour la scène.

Craig was previously said to have hurt his arm while touring Russia and was trying to continue to play the shows on painkillers, but was forced to leave the trek earlier in the month.

Aldrich's sole studio recording with DIO came in the shape of 2002's "Killing the Dragon", after which he toured with the group before leaving to join the touring lineup of WHITESNAKE.

Oui, Coverdale termine le DVD en ce moment, donc Aldrich a du temps libre devant lui...

Un nouvel album est en préparation et le grateux sera Doug Aldrich :

"Ronnie and the band will start working on writing for a new record in January, and it's looking like the band will hit South America in March 2006."
