L'album live War of Attrition (1981) du groupe anglais va être réédité cette année en double vinyle, pour les collectionneurs.

TANK will be releasing a vinyl version of the "War of Attrition" live album later in the year in a limited edition of 500 copies via Maniacal Records. The LP will contain "many bonus tracks (live, radio sessions and demos)," according to guitarist Cliff Evans's posting on the TANK "This Means War" web site. "I think it will be a double album with gatefold sleeve and many old photos," Evans writes.

According to a posting on the TANK This Means War web site, Maniacal Records will be releasing TANK's "War of Attrition" 1981 live album in double LP and expanded-edition CD format, featuring demos, radio sessions and bonus live tracks not on the original CD. The set, which is being made available in vinyl for the first time, is expected in March.

C'est le même label qui avait sorti Live Return of the filthhounds en vinyl.

J'ai déjà la version Zoom club records, mais là en vinyl avec tous ces bonus, il me le faut.
TANK a arreté un an ou deux , Algy Ward s'est fait opéré d'une tumeur au cerveau. Mais il est à nouveau en pleine forme et le groupe enregistre actuellement son neuvieme album Sturmpanzer !

Je les avais vu live au Wacken de 97 (l'enregistrement de l'album live) et le public était déchaîné, il y avait vraiment une ambiance inoubliable, même le groupe en revenait pas. Ils ont même fait une chanson la dessus sur Still At War.

Histoire de compléter sa collection de NWOBHM, avec des bonus dans tous les sens :

One of the most influential formations which emerged in the beginnings of the NWOBHM madness was TANK — a fierce, ambitious young band, taking all that was the best in punk and metal to a higher level. The group was formed in Croydon (London, England) in 1980 by Alasdair "Algy" Mackie Ward, an experienced front man who wanted to go beyond his previous musical experiences, which included playing in THE SAINTS and THE DAMNED.

Metal Mind Productions will release the complete discography of TANK: "The Filth Hounds of Hades - Dogs of War 1981 - 2002" on November 19. The collection, containing TANK's full discography extended with exclusive bonus material, will be available in two editions: as a nine-CD box (8CD+DVD) and a six-LP box.

Well c'est vrai jusqu'a un certain point.... il ne faut pas oublier qu'il ont été un des groupes qui ont crée ce que le speed est devenu avec RAVEN, ACCEPT "restless" et un ou 2 autres..... et mis a part "power" + "tank" le rest est infernal!!!!!!!!

J'adore l'album "TANK" de 87, les compos sont vraiment bonnes c'est peut être la prod qui ne suit pas sur cet album.

Les bonus du coffret n'ont pas l'air terrible, rien d'inédit , ce sont les faces B de singles pour la plupart, du coup j'hésite vraiment...

Soundhouse Records, the new London-based label started by Cliff Evans, guitarist for the UK bands TANK and KILLERS, has set an October 15 release date for the new TANK collection entitled "Live and Rare". The CD will include nine tracks from the band's 1981 tour supporting MOTÖRHEAD, four 1981 studio demos (containing material that was later included on the "Filth Hounds of Hades" album), two songs from TANK's 1984 tour with METALLICA, and two live tracks recorded in 1999 in Japan.

R.I.P. Graeme Crallan. Very sad news: ex- TANK & WHITE SPIRIT drummer passed away on Sunday night July 27, 2008. Graeme was ill for sometime.
Message from Cliff Evans: Tomorrow at 10.30 am we will bury our fallen comrade Graeme Crallan. His drumming on 'Honour and Blood' is now legendary and worthy of the victoria cross medal for bravery. He was a loyal member of our ranks and completed several tours of duty during his short time with us. Power Of Hunter, This Means War and Honour & Blood will be available in new digipak editions limited to 2,000 copies each.

Power Of Hunter - Re-release of Tank's second studio album from 1982. The album, released during Tank's tour alongside the immensely popular band DIAMOND HEAD, featured a fairly similar musical style as on the debut, although some of the material was definitely slower and more rock-oriented. One of the main reasons for that was the constant comparison of the band to MOTÖRHEAD, which after some time became really annoying for Tank. Incl. 'Walking Barefoot Over Glass' and 'T.A.N.K.' - true highlights for Tank. New edition includes 3 bonus tracks!

This Means War - Re-release of Tank's third studio album from 1983. The album to this day is considered one of Tank's best releases. It showed a definitely heavier side of the band, revealing also some more ambitious compositions. A good example of Tank's progress is the use of keyboards, something that would be fairly impossible on the previous album. With This Means War the group proved that they were a far more serious act that they might have been perceived - songs like 'Just Like Something From Hell', 'Hot Lead Cold Steel' and '(If We Go) We Go Down Fighting' were masterfully written and showcased some very impressive skills of all of the band members. New edition includes 3 bonus tracks!

Honour & Blood - Re-release of Tank's fourth studio album from 1984. This time Tank took out all the commercial elements from their music - keyboards or over-melodic interludes completely disappeared. Features the surprising cover version of a 60's soul/r'n'b classic by ARETHA FRANKLIN - 'Chain Of Fools' and the characteristic 'W.M.L.A.', strongly differing in style from the rest of the material. New edition includes 1 bonus track!

All three titles were digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc. The release date is scheduled for September 22nd in Europe and October 28th in the US (via MVD).

Produced by famous "Fast" Eddie Clarke, the debut album hit the stores in Spring of 1982, around the time when Tank participated in the second part of the MOTÖRHEAD tour, which covered mostly UK dates. Filth Hounds Of Hades was an extremely successful debut, getting great reviews in the press and a very positive feedback from the fans. New digipak edition includes seven bonus tracks.

War Of Attrition Live 1981:
Re-release of Tank’s live album recorded in Germany in 1981. New edition includes 10 bonus tracks – demo versions of 'Shellshock', 'Run Like Hell' and 'Blood, Guts & Beer', three tracks taken from the radio session at Soundsuite Studios, London, England, and two live tracks recorded at Parkpop, Holland in 1982.

j'ai vu quelques reéditions de leurs albums à gibert ce week end, j'en aurai bien pris quelques uns mais y' a tellement longtemps que j'ai pas écouté... je sais qu'ils ont fait de bons trucs mais aussi des albums ratés... si quelqu'un peut me conseiller...

Tout le monde met Filth Hounds en premier, pas moi, je trouve qu'Honor and Blood ou This means War sont d'un niveau supérieur musicalement, et ça sonne un peu moins Motorhead que les 2 premiers.

l'album de la reformation " Still at War" qui a déjà quelques années est très bon aussi.
et sinon n'importe quel live ils sont tous très bons, c'est un groupe qui prend vraiment une autre dimension sur scène.
