Tiamat, "Amanethes"

Le groupe a signé chez Nuclear Blast et est en train d'enregistrer son nouvel album.

TIAMAT mainman Johan Edlund has issued the following update:

"Last night I got back home [to Greece] from a week of [TIAMAT] rehearsals and some days of drum recordings [for the new album] in Sweden. The trip turned into a quite personal trauma and a few tears left my eyes while careening through red mist and dust of the Greek forest fires when entering Greek airspace on my late night flight from Prague back to Macedonia, but luckily — after a few days of worrying — my close and loved ones in the south of Greece are OK and most fires are heavily bondaged by heroic firefighters of all Europe. Bless them!

"Rehearsals went fine, thanks to small little brown bottles wrapped in paper with joyfully slogans printed on them. We had a few drunken nights in Stockholm and I managed to see my team Hammarby lose against a non-team from the west coast.

"A few days later me and Lars [Skold, drums] went to the west coast. To a small little town called Varberg, to be precise, just outside the anus of Sweden that some people still call Gothenburg (the city most known for an ugly building that looks like a lipstick, which they call… the lipstick).

"Though beer drinking was still on the agenda, we didn't go down there for watching football, nor fishing, but to record our animalistic maniac behind the drums in Studio Mega."

C'est prévu pour le 18 avril. Ca faisait quand même cinq ans qu'il n'avaient pas sorti de nouvel album

Swedish legendary rockers TIAMAT have finished recording their newest effort "Amanethes". The album will be mixed in the Woodhouse Studios in Hagen, Germany, in Janurary. The release date is April, 18. "Amanethes" is the long awaited follow up to "Prey" from 2003.

ça commençait à faire long.... surtout que depuis leur excellente prestation au graspop 2007 j'ai ressorti mes (vieux)albums mais maintenant je veux entendre de nouveaux titres!

ah enfin la date de sortie....au mois d'avril ultra chargé en concert .
Je pense qu'il attendra le mois de Mai pour que je me le prenne.

Ils ont reformé Treblinka pour quelques concerts récemment, mais sans Edlund qui veut apparemment plus en entendre parler... Ils joueront qu'en Scandinavie je crois, avec des gars de Niefelheim au chant et à la basse.
Pour les fans de Tiamat qui connaîtraient pas, je conseille vivement d'écouter ce groupe...

Sinon, l'écoute des premiers albums de Tiamat peut être sympa aussi pour les fans actuels

Bah c'est du vieux black thrash (fin des années 80). C'est pas ultime, mais c'est culte.

Ça fait partie des groupes pionniers de la scène extrême suédoise.

Le nouvel album est en écoute en streaming sur le MySpace du groupe. C'est d'ailleurs fort sympathique

L'extrait present sur le dernier sampler Rock Hard est sympa aussi.

j'espère que tu as du temps à consacrer à l'écoute des nouveaux morceaux sur le myspace parce que là il tourne en boucle chez moi!

Le guitariste, Thomas Wyreson, quitte le groupe.
Il déclare:
"I've made a tough decision to quit the band. My last show with the guys [was] the Zeytinli Rock Fest in Turkey the 16th of August."

Des titres cools, melodiques, "violents" ou très calmes avec une voix qui le fait aussi bien en agressif qu'en soft. J'aime beaucoup.
Je ne pensais aimer que Wildhoney de ce groupe mais là je suis fort agréablement surpris

skeleton skeletron est excellent aussi comme album, bon faudrait que je refasse une sortie au Gibert un de ces 4 parce que ça fait longtemps que j'ai pas acheté plein de CD
