Brazilian thrashers SEPULTURA earlier in the week entered the studio to begin recording their new album, which is based on the Anthony Burgess novel "A Clockwork Orange" (later turned into the classic film by Stanley Kubrick). An October release via SPV is expected.
Commented bassist Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr.: "The machine Jean [Dolabella, drums] has recorded 20 songs in two days, and at the moment, we are ahead of our schedule. Later on today we will listen to all material and move forward to the next step: GUITARS!!!"
SEPULTURA's forthcoming CD will be the group's first to feature Dolabella, who replaced founding member Igor Cavalera in 2006. Igor has since reunited with his brother and former SEPULTURA frontman Max Cavalera in CAVALERA CONSPIRACY.
