On entendait plus trop parler d'eux, alors voici un double live/DVD enregistré il y a bientôt 2 ans, avec des nouveaux titres en bonus :
DREAM EVIL, the Swedish melodic metal band featuring acclaimed producer Fredrik Nordström (DIMMU BORGIR, IN FLAMES, HAMMERFALL) on guitar, will release its first live DVD/CD, "Gold Medal In Metal (Alive & Archive)", on August 25 via Century Media. The live DVD was recorded at the on November 25, 2006 show in the band's hometown of Gothenburg, Sweden by acclaimed director Patric Ullaeus of the Revolver Film Company (IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, KAMELOT, etc.) and the cover artwork for this release was created by Seth (PARADISE LOST, EXODUS, MOONSPELL). The double CD (with a playing time of over two hours!) and the special DVD version (playing time of the DVD is over 100 minutes and both audio CDs are included in this package as well) are a complete guide into the vaults of DREAM EVIL and "a trip to the core of true metal at its very rockin' best," according to a press release. The bonus disc ("Archive") features over an hour of previously unreleased and rare material, including plenty of Japanese bonus songs from the recording sessions for "The Book Of Heavy Metal" (featuring former band members Gus G. on guitar and Snowy Shaw on drums) and earlier albums, some outtakes from the band's latest studio opus "United" and three brand new studio tracks recorded especially for this release in 2007.

Pas mal de trucs des epoques Book of heavy metal et evilized sur le cd des archives quand même !
Si j'arrive a me l'ecouter et que le son du live est bon je me laisserais sûrement tenter !
Dommage quand même que ni Kingdom at war (meilleur titre d eUnited pour moi) ni le classique Breaking the chains ne soient au programme !
Excellent live! Bon par contre c'est la tournée United donc pas de gusG ni de Snowy (ça me derange pas j'aime pas trop ce gars) mais le nouveau guitariste est vraiment balaise!!! Et assure bien sceniquement. Le batteur fait bien son boulot aussi.

ah par ce que en plus de pas aimer Into Glory Ride tu aimes pas Snowy qui a composé presque l'intégralité de Book Of Heavy metal ? Mais qu'est ce qu'on va faire de toi ?
Pas mal de titres du cd des faces b sont selon moi bien supérieurs a la plupart des titres de United.beaucoup sont d'ailleurs issus des sessions Book of heavy Metal.
J'ai bien aimé, entre autres, "chapter 6" et "lady of pleasure", très Dokken dans l'esprit...
Effectivement les retouche son du live c'est abusé... D'habitude je suis pour mais la c'est vraiment exagéré...
