Ils annoncent un retour à des choses plus mélodiques sur le prochain album, plus dans l'esprit de leurs albums 80's...
Bon, c'est pas trop une surprise, surtout qu'apparemment "Reborn" ne s'est pas super bien vendu.

Audio samples from "Murder By Pride", the new album from reactivated Christian hard rockers STRYPER, will be made available on December 21 at 11:00 p.m. EST along with a major contest. The contest is a historic first for STRYPER and will give one lucky fan the opportunity of a lifetime to become a part of STRYPER history.

In other news, STRYPER frontman Michael Sweet will performing live on Friday, February 13, 2009 at the New Life Church (172 Hubbard Avenue) in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

In an interview with Metal-Rules.com, Michael Sweet stated about the upcoming CD, "The new album will be much more into a melodic direction. There will be lots of melodies, guitar solos, stacked vocal harmonies and high screams it does sound a lot like the stuff what we used to do in the past. I'm sure that old fans will be pleased when they hear it."

A limited-edition authorized STRYPER 25th anniversary coffee-table book is in the works that will feature never-before-published pictures, reflections from the band, and rare collectibles from all over the world.

STRYPER's most recent CD, "Reborn", is available on Big3 Records. "Reborn" marked STRYPER's first complete studio release of original material in over a decade, since 1990's "Against the Law", and features 10 original tracks as well a new version of the previously released track "In God We Trust". The album was recorded in Massachusetts at Blue Jay Studio, Mixed Emotions, and singer Michael Sweet's home studio.

Commented singer Michael Sweet: "After years of speaking to fans and hearing comments like 'more guitars,' 'more solos' and 'more screams,' I decided to keep those comments in mind as I wrote each song. It was important to me to try to get back to that early sound of STRYPER yet at the same time, to remain relevant today. It's certainly not an easy thing to do but as I listen to 'Murder By Pride', I think that was accomplished.

"I got the idea of the title 'Murder By Pride' from seeing pride consume dreams, goals and many times, lives. We all deal with pride and it can be crippling, so I wanted to write a lyric and a theme that would be a constant reminder of that. This record has been in the works for a long, long time and I can only hope that it was worth the wait!"

In other news, STRYPER is giving the opportunity of a lifetime: Design the album cover for "Murder By Pride". According to the band, "over the years STRYPER fans have shown their creativity through design and art. Nows the time to show the world what STRYPER fans have to offer creatively."

La femme de Sweet est decedée d'un cancer.

STRYPER singer Michael Sweet's wife Kyle Rae Sweet passed away on March 5, 2009 after a two-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was only 52 years old.

Michael and Kyle met when she was hired to do makeup for STRYPER's first video, "You Know What To Do". They married in 1986 and had two children — Michael Jr. and Ellena — who are now 22 and 18 years old, respectively.

In message posted on his web site a few days before Kyle's death, Michael wrote about his wife, "Kyle was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in February of 2007. Standing by her side and seeing her physically and emotionally face this horrible disease, I've realized that not only is she the love of my life, she is an angel and the most inspirational person I've ever known.

"I've stood faithful and hopeful in prayer through this battle, yet to see my love suffer and endure the pain and discomfort that she has over the past two years breaks my heart into a million pieces. No one deserves this, especially Kyle.

"You see, she is the backbone of our family, a pillar of strength, and as unselfish as one can be. She doesn't want any credit for anything she does but truth be known — she deserves all credit. She is the perfect wife, mother and such a blessing to everyone she meets. I constantly wrestle with the reality of this monster that invades her body and I can tell you that it's been a tremendous struggle to see my wife so sick. I have felt so helpless and at times completely hopeless, but I know I must be strong for my family and be that pillar of strength too, as she's been throughout our marriage of almost 23 years.

"Throughout I have seen Kyle's heart, strength and determination in ways that I've never seen before. She's never complained and always brought joy to those caring for her and those around her. Surgery after surgery, treatment after treatment and feeling so sick for the past two years, she's been an encouragement and an example of faith to everyone.

"I love you my dear and there is no way for me to repay you for what you have given to me. I hold you within my heart for now and forevermore."

Je ne vois pas ce qu'il y a de drôle.
Tu n'es pas obligé de partager ses croyances, personne ne l'est, mais se foutre de la gueule d'un mec dont la femme vient de mourir après 2 ans de cancer, simplement parce qu'il est chrétien... désolé mais c'est nul.

Michael: My wife was really sick and during that time, the singer from Boston committed suicide. I got an email from a guy who runs a Boston fan site and he asked me if I wanted to comment on his death. I did and he posted it and Tom Schultz read it and contacted me and asked me to play a benefit show. From there it went from me singing one song to me singing three songs and playing guitar for the whole set. Now he’s asked me to record with them and tour with them. So I am facing the fact that they are not Christians but they have been a better example of Christianity to me than even some Christians. No drugs, no drinking, polite as can be and very giving. Their music and lyrics are clean. I prayed about it and I felt like it was okay for me to do it and I did it.

En même temps, voilà le débile mental... Difficile de réprimer un sourire!

La provoc, c'est comme les gens en général. Y a des cons partout.

Je te connais pas, tu es certainement bien en vrai (même si j'ai de plus en plus de doutes), mais là tu fais juste le connard, ne m'en veux pas de te le signifier.

ben j'ai capté l'alboum, c'est pas un retour aux sources non plus mais c'est déjà bien plus sympa que le précédent, du bon rock hardisant et fmisant mélodique. On verra sur la durée mais j'ai chopé mes billets pour la tournée, en priant le lord qu'il tape dans les 3 premiers albums
