Brutal Godz (Uwe Lulis + les frères Holzwarth)

Un nouveau projet nommé "Brutal Godz" est né d'entre des anciens et actuels membres de Blind Guardian et un de Rebellion.
Selon un communiqué de presse "le concept musical de Brutal Godz est basé sur l'énergie et la cruauté à l'état pur sans aucune frontière".
Les membres actuels pour le moment sont :

* Uwe Lulis (Rebellion) - Guitare
* Alex Holzwarth (Rhapsody Of Fire) - Batterie
* Oliver Holzwarth (Blind Guardian) - Basse

Le groupe rechercher actuellement un chanteur pour compléter le line-up. Selon le groupe "parler l'anglais couramment sera nécessaire. Le pays d'origine importe peu. Le plus important sera une voix puissante capable de crier et de chanter avec un bon feeling pour les passages rythmiques. Une aisance scénique sera un plus."
Plusieurs chansons sont déjà prêtes et le groupe serait déjà prêt à monter sur scène !

j'adore le nom du groupe, qui colle parfaitement avec le concept du groupe !

Le chanteur sera le dernier en date de Metal Church :

Former METAL CHURCH frontman Ronny Munroe completes the line up of recently founded Germany based BRUTAL GODZ. According to the band's guitar player Uwe Lulis he perfectly matches the band's expectations: "Ronny impressed us with his voice and instantly made us feel like: He is the perfect one. We sent him three songs to work on and even in the same night he responded. Within a short timeframe of several hours Ronny had written lyrics, created and arranged all the vocal lines and then performed his work. Something that all of us had never experienced before. Ronny is absolutely amazing. We can't wait to hit the studio and get the songs nailed down. Welcome aboard, Ronny!"

BRUTAL GODZ, the new Germany-based project featuring former/current members of BLIND GUARDIAN, RHAPSODY OF FIRE and REBELLION, has parted ways with former METAL CHURCH singer Ronny Munroe and has replaced him with Ian Breeg, a young Russian musician from Moscow.

Commented bassist Oliver Holzwarth (who also plays with BLIND GUARDIAN and TARJA TURUNEN, among others): "Out of thin air things literally happened when Iceland's volcano ashes made it impossible for Ronny to fly in which raised severe schedule problems for the band. As we therefore would have had to postpone all vocal recordings to next year.

"We wish Ronny all the best for his future endeavours.

"Welcome aboard, Ian!

"We are absolutely thrilled to introduce such a high-calibre musician to the group's ranks. His high screams will scare you to death sounding like a mixture of young Halford (JUDAS PRIEST) and Midnight (CRIMSON GLORY). A diamond yet uncut."

Added Ian Breeg: "I could hardly believe it when guitar player Uwe Lulis invited me to start working on their songs, write lyrics and do all the vocal arrangements. I need more time to realize what just happened.
