C'est le nom du nouveau groupe des anciens bassiste de freedom Call et chanteur de Firewind. J'ai de fortes présomptions quant au style que ça va être

Bassist Ilker Ersin (ex-Freedom Call, Moon Doc)and vocalist Chitral "Chity" Somapala (ex -Firewind, Avalon, Faro) have joined their creative forces to forge a new identity in metal, POWERWORLD.

Based on Ersin's inspired reflections of life, POWERWORLD will convey their conceptual brand of heavy metal with class and melody, delivered with a lyrical message of hope and strength.

The band is currently writing material for their debut album in 2006.

Oui, l'enregistrement sera terminé fin novembre, mais il faudra ensuite qu'ils trouvent un label. Je ne pense pas qu'ils aient trop de mal, parce que ce sera assez facile à marketter avec deux musiciens de groupes connus, mais à mon avis, ce ne sera pas dans les bacs avant janvier ou février.

Ils ont signé chez SPV.

German melodic metal band POWERWORLD, the brainchild of former FREEDOM CALL and MOON'DOC bassist Ilker Ersin, has inked a worldwide deal with SPV/Steamhammer. The band's new album, "Human Parasite", will be released in Europe on October 22 and in the USA/Canada on November 9. A European tour will take place in early 2011.

POWERWORLD's current lineup is as follows:

* Andrew "Mac"McDermott (SARGANT FURY, THRESHOLD) - Vocals
* Barish Kepic (JADED HEART) - Guitar
* Ilker Ersin (FREEDOM CALL, MOON'DOC) - Bass
* Nils Neumann (FREEDOM CALL) - Keyboards
* Achim Keller (VICTORY) - Drums

After his departure from FREEDOM CALL in the middle of 2005, Ersin decided to follow a different musical path and started to work on a project that contained more grooves and less power metal influences.

INFO / BIO:

POWERWORLD est le groupe formé par le bassiste Ilker Ersin juste après son départ de Freedom Call en 2005. Pour ce il s’est allié au guitariste Barish Kepic (ex-Jaded Heart), au chanteur Steffen Brunner, au clavier Nils Neumann (ex-Freedom Call) et au batteur Jürgen Lucas (ex-At Vance). C’est avec ce line-up, qu’en mars 2008, POWERWORLD sort son 1er album
Malheureusement, quelques mois plus tard, Jürgen Lucas et Steffen Brunner quittent le groupe. Ils seront vite remplacés par Simon Michael (de Subway To Sally, embauché pour assurer les sessions studio) et Andrew”Mac”McDermott (ex-Sargant Fury, Threshold). L’arrivée de ce dernier est bénéfique et déterminante pour la musque de POWERWORLD. En effet, Andrew apporte une identité et une maturité qui permet aux compositions du groupe de prendre un nouvel essor et des accents beaucoup plus « rock » et moins « soft » qu’auparavant.
Peu de temps après l’enregistrement, le batteur Achim Keller (Victory) devient enfin le batteur définitif de POWERWORLD, au moment même où le groupe signe avec SPV / Steamhammer.

Il est vraiment excellent ce disque...Ca tourne depuis une semaine sans discontinué....C'est pas très original, mais ça joue vraiment bien et le chanteur est un vrai monstre....

je suis sûr que GANDALF en serait méga fan.....

Encore un changement de chanteur, Andrew “Mac” McDermott a des problèmes de santé et il quitte le groupe.

Son remplaçant est annoncé :

POWERWORLD - the brainchild of ex-FREEDOM CALL/ex-MOONDOC bassist Ilker Ersin - have replaced singer Andrew McDermott (ex-SARGANT FURY/ex-THRESHOLD). A statement reads as follows:

"The band played on the last tour with Axel Rudi Pell with Michael Bormann on vocals due to singer Mac's serious health problems. Michael had only six days to prepare himself and because the tour was imminent, he had no opportunity to rehearse with the band.

The tour went extremely well, and Michael did one good job after another. Every evening he sang Mac's vocals as though they were his own, and rescued the first tour for Powerworld. Subsequently the band put all activities on hold to give Mac the time that he needed to make a good recovery.

Ilker and Barish played on the tour with Michael Bormann Band during this time. Unfortunately, Mac did not recover from his illness, and has left the band by his own request. Now that the band know that Michael is one of the best singers in Germany and have also gained a new friend, it was logical to ask him whether he could imagine a future with Powerworld.

And here he is - the new singer of Powerworld: welcome Michael Bormann!"
