Jorn Lande revient dans Masterplan

La nouvelle n'est pas encore confirmée officiellement ceci dit, mais ça serait salutaire pour le groupe.

According to the long-running Dutch rock/metal magazine Aardschok, Norwegian singer Jorn Lande has rejoined MASTERPLAN, the band led by former HELLOWEEN guitarist Roland Grapow.

Lande left the band in May 2006, citing "musical differences" between the vocalist and the rest of the band, particularly then-drummer Uli Kusch (who has since also left MASTERPLAN). During the songwriting process for the group's third album, it became increasingly apparent that the other members of the band had different visions and plans for the group's musical direction. While Jorn allegedly wanted MASTERPLAN to follow a more melodic path, the rest of the band apparently wanted to return to the metallic roots of their debut album.

Vocalist Mike DiMeo (RIOT, THE LIZARDS) announced his departure from MASTERPLAN in January 2009 after recording just one studio album with the group — 2007's "MK II".

Mouais, le gros problème c'est surtout la compo, mais bon, un excellent chanteur c'est toujours utile.

Oui Jorn arrive a transcender des chansons on ne peu plus banals. après il est pas magicien non plus et ne peu sauver des titres comme ceux du 2em album...

Je trouve le deuxième album aussi bon que le premier, juste moins metal et plus AOR sur les bords. Par contre le troisième album, mouais, sans plus, du réchauffé correct des 2 premiers...

Donc je suis content de voir Lande revenir, mais il faudrait aussi que Uli Kusch revienne car le jeu stéréotypé de Terrana j'en peux plus.

Le groupe ne dément pas, mais rectifie les infos avancées par le mag danois :

A post on the official MASTERPLAN web site reads as follows: "In the coming days some official news regarding the new singer will be posted here. The band is very sorry for the long waiting but things could not be done differently... thanks for your patience!

"Concerning the message from Aardshok magazine, it doesn't come from the band and we have to mention that it is not true that Jorn left the band because of [now-former MASTERPLAN drummer] Uli [Kusch]."

ce serait une bonne chose pour le groupe, pour Jorn aussi peut être, même si sa carrière solo doit lui prendre pas mal de temps vu le rythme auquel il enchaine les albums...
en tout cas le dernier album ne m'a jamais emballé, la voix du chanteur y est un peu pour quelquechose...

Oui pour l'instant ça reste une fuite plutôt qu'une vraie information, mais vu que dans son communiqué le groupe ne dément pas on peut penser qu'ils sont justement en train de négocier avec Lande. A suivre.

Jorn Lande confirme qu'il est en négociation pour enregistrer le prochain Masterplan.
Il dit que c'est super,qu'ils se sont toujours bien entendus, que y 'a de la magie machin tout ca et que si ils s'étaient séparés c'était pour divergences musicales .... (eux voulaient revenir à LEMETAL et lui faire un truc mélodique ) ...

"We have discussed recording an album together and it's looking pretty good that it will work out," he told Germany's Rock Hard magazine. "We never had problems with each other, but professionally, we decided for to go separate ways for a while. Now some years have passed and we are talking about collaborating again. I have some song ideas for MASTERPLAN. However, I must focus on the promotion for my [new solo] album and upcoming JORN [Lande's solo project] live shows before we decide what to do next. Either way, I am happy that we are talking about working together again — mainly because the combination of MASTERPLAN's music and my singing was truly something special."

C'est même officiel, il a commencé à enregistrer :

"After months of rumors and speculations, it is now official: [Norwegian singer] Jorn Lande will once again join forces with his old bandmates and work on what is expected to be yet another MASTERPLAN masterpiece.

"The new album is already in the works and Jorn is right now in Roland Grapow Studios in Slovakia recording his vocals.

"The release date is not yet decided, but the album is scheduled to hit the market sometime in early 2010."

Sortie de l'album le 16 avril.

MASTERPLAN have just reunited with original singer Jorn Lande and also finished the recordings for their new album "Time To Be King", that will be released on April 16th. For March you can expect the release of a single to preceed the album.

Sortie le 21 mai, précédée d'un single le 16 avril.

Now the title of MASTERPLAN´s new single has been unveiled: "Far From The End Of The World" will be released on Apri 16th to give a first impression of MASTERPLAN´s new album "Time To Be King", to be unleashed on May 21st.

Je n'aime pas trop la pochette, qui est kitsch et me fait penser aussi à un album de Running Wild.
Ce la ne m'empêche pas de me réjouir de la sortie de cet album avec le grand Jorn!
