Black Sun Aeon est le nouveau projet Dark / Death / Doom de Tuomas Saukkonen (Before The Dawn, The Final Harvest, Dawn Of Solace).

Le premier album sort le 27 Mars 2009 en Europe chez Cyclone Empire.

Le second opus du groupe sortira le 1er Avril prochain. Au programme, un double album ayant comme concept l'hiver Finlandais.

Vu sur l'affiche du Chaulnes metal fest de cette année, du coup curieux comme je suis, je suis allé écouter, et j'ai bien aimé.
Faut que je pense à prendre ces deux albums!

Ce second album est une pure merveille, tu ne seras pas déçu. Le premier était déjà assez énorme.

J'ai vu Black Sun Aeon au Summerbreeze 2009, et c'est vraiment sympa en live. C'est surtout impressionnant de voir Tuomas faire la batterie et le chant Death.

Son nouvel album ' Blacklight Delivrance" m'a fait moins vibrer que le prédécesseur , moins d'ambiance mais il reste bon . je le re-écoute pour mieux juger.

Et bien c'est fini ... Tuomas Saukkonen met fin à ses différents projets musicaux dont Black sun et Before The Dawn .

2013-01-11 - After 14 successful years with 7 highly acclaimed studio albums, mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen has now decided to put an end to his dark/melancholic melodic death metal band BEFORE THE DAWN as well as to all of his other current projects, including BLACK SUN AEON, DAWN OF SOLACE and ROUTASIELU. “I’ve already been thinking about this for a few years”, Tuomas states. “At some point I realized I was keeping the band alive without feeling right anymore. I lost the passion to make music my own way. Now that BEFORE THE DAWN is done, it’s logical for me to clean the table completely and start building something from scratch again.”

As far as his new goals are concerned, the multi-instrumentalist explains: “From now on I’ll solely focus on my new band called WOLFHEART – all my attention and energy shall flow into it. My main intention is to create a band that combines BEFORE THE DAWN’s engery with the low-tuned, dark, heavy and epic atmosphere of BLACK SUN AEON.”
