Ils ont fini de mixer leur prochain album, et il paraît que ca revient aux sources de "Get heavy"...

Finnish heavy metal monsters LORDI have finished mixing their new album at WireWorld studio in Nashville, Tennessee with producer Michael Wagener, who has previously worked with SKID ROW, ACCEPT, ALICE COOPER and KING'S X, among many others. A late 2010 release is expected.

Regarding the musical direction of LORDI's new material, singer Mr. Lordi previously stated, "It is safe to say that the material is kinda 'Get Heavy' [the band's 2002 debut] LORDI-like, with a strong '80s metal feel, more melodic, and a lot less sinister and 'serious' than on [2008's] 'Deadache'. One thing is for sure, there's not gonna be cover songs on the next one either. In my mind, [a] cover's place is not on an actual album; it could serve as a bonus for a special printing or something. Like with 'The House Without A Name' [LORDI's cover of the DINGO track], for example."

"Deadache" debuted at No. 13 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

LORDI's previous studio album, "The Arockalypse", has sold more than 30,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD was released in over 30 countries, including Japan, and the album was certified over triple platinum in the band's home country of Finland, gold in Germany (100,000 units), and gold in Sweden (40,000 units). The single "Hard Rock Hallelujah" achieved gold status in Germany (150,000 units).

Deadache m'avait vraiment déçu moi aussi, mais je leur laisserai quand même une chance pour ce nouvel album.

je l'ai même pas écouté le Deadache tiens mais j'irai les voir avec plaisir s'ils font une tournée et qu'ils passent à Paris

Deadache, je ne l'ai pas trouvé horrible non plus mais ce n'est pas mon préféré.....s'ils passent dans mon coin, j'irais les voir avec plaisir (en espérant qu'ils auront un meilleur son !)
J'attend des nouvelles de cet album.....

Sortie de Babez For Breakfast en septembre.

Finnish hard rock monsters LORDI will release their highly anticipated fifth studio album on September 14, 2010 in the U.S. on The End Records. The new album is titled "Babez For Breakfast" and will be made available simultaneously in Europe, Japan and the USA. The first single, "This Is Heavy Metal", will be released on August 6, 2010.

"Babez For Breakfast" was recorded in early 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee with highly regarded producer Michael Wagener, who has produced albums for artists as varied as OZZY OSBOURNE, ALICE COOPER and JANET JACKSON and mixed METALLICA's classic "Master of Puppets".

LORDI frontman Mr. Lordi comments on the new album: "We are very proud of this album. We went back to the basics and beyond. The new material is more rocking and melodic, but we have not forgotten the horror elements, either. As our producer says — each song includes a lot of energy, emotion and entertainment. We are eager to go back on the road and meet our fans with new songs, outfits and tricks!"

An important part of this album, as always, will be the new costumes designed by Mr. Lordi, which will be premiering soon.

"This Is Heavy Metal" is available for just .69¢ through all digital providers, including The Omega Order, and features cover art created by LORDI mainman Mr. Lordi.

"I wanted to paint a picture which at the same time crystallizes something of the essence that is of '80s metal and also as pays a visual tribute to many of our own idols of that era," commented Mr. Lordi. "So, to be able to fit them all in, I created a Frankenstein monster made out of bits and pieces of members of TWISTED SISTER, KISS, W.A.S.P. and ALICE COOPER, to name only a few."

He continued, "The song itself is written in the same train of thought and appreciation. I wanted to write a song that is heavy metal according to LORDI. The riff should sound familiar from the first second you hear it and you should be able to sing along the chorus already when it comes out the second time.

"Most of our favorite bands come from the U.S., with only few exceptions.

"Someone once said that LORDI must be the most American band in Finland. I think that is quite correct.

"The whole concept of our band, both musically and visually, is heavily influenced by American pop culture, comics, horror films and music."

C'est marrant, en ce moment avec celle de Grave Digger on a droit à des pochettes ludiques. A quand une pochette-puzzle à reconstituer toi même ou un dessin à peindre avec les petits numéros dans les cases ?
