Les thrasheurs anglais ont signé chez AFM Records pour le prochain album.

British thrashers ONSLAUGHT have inked a deal with Germany's AFM Records. The band is currently in the studio recording the follow-up to 2007's "Killing Peace"for a tentative late 2010 release.

Commented ONSLAUGHT guitarist Nige Rockett: "We're so very stoked to be joining the AFM Records roster.

"Our deal with Candlelight had expired, and as always, ONSLAUGHT were looking for a new challenge. There were several labels interested in signing the band, but AFM said all the right things and made all the right moves, so it wasn't a hard choice. Also seeing what the label did with the latest FEAR FACTORY album backed up our decision.

"It kinda feels like when we were signed to Music For Nations — very personal and very friendly on every level, right up to the label owner.

"We have a real good feeling about the new album release and a very distinctive vision.

"AFM are right behind this 110%. We're gonna make a great team and together we're gonna deliver some kick-ass new tunes."

Nige Rockett previously stated about the band's forthcoming CD, "It's certainly not gonna be 'Killing Peace 2', that's for sure. It's old school, it's contemporary, it's ONSLAUGHT. It's gonna be faster at times, definitely heavier with some songs having their more intricate moments, but not too intricate, 'cuz that means compromising the violence which this album is really gonna be all about: pure unadulterated musical violence.

"We're gonna be using several different guitar tunings to add some sonic variety and lots of truly stunning solos coming your way from Mr. [Andy] Rosser-Davies. He's on fire at the moment and being pushed to the limits in terms of creativity and originality.

"No, Andy Sneap will not be producing the new album, but we have found another perfect partner to work with us this time around. He's a huge ONSLAUGHT fan and will definitely deliver the crushing brutality we are looking for on production front.

"Once again ONSLAUGHT will deliver a very different-sounding album to its predecessor. There will not be 11-12 tracks on the record; it's not something ONSLAUGHT do. We have always preferred quality over quantity every time — no fillers, all killers here. But you will more than get VFM (Violence For Money) guaranteed."

j'ai pas écouté, mais d'après ce que j'ai lu par ci,par là = il déchire...J'ai même lu que c'était le meilleur album de toutes les reformations récentes !!!

British thrashers ONSLAUGHT have tapped acclaimed Danish producer Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, MERCENARY, VOLBEAT, HEAVEN SHALL BURN) to helm the recording nad mixing sessions for the band's new studio album, tentatively due before the end of the year. The CD will be recorded and mixed at Hansen Studio in Ribe, Denmark starting on August 16.

Sortie fin janvier.

British thrashers ONSLAUGHT are releasing through AFM records in USA and Europe and Universal in Japan, their fifth studio album entitled Sounds Of Violence, in three different formats: CD, limited digipack and vinyl.

The album will be released on the following dates:

January 12 - Japan
January 28 - Europe
February 8 - North America

Putain j’ai que les 2 premiers Onslaught (et je préfère 100 fois le premier au deuxième), ça fait un putain de choc d’entendre ce nouveau morceau ! Je trouve ça juste plat et nul, et la voix... Enfin bon. Par contre faudrait que je choppe les rééditions des démos, ça doit être bien bonnard, encore plus punk que le premier album j’imagine !

Changement de batteur :

British thrashers ONSLAUGHT have announced that drummer Michael "Mic" Hourihan (DESECRATION, EXTREME NOISE TERROR) has now officially joined the band on a full-time basis.

Mic has been touring with the ONSLAUGHT since March 2011, and has already done over 50 shows with the band, including South American and European tours.

Commented ONSLAUGHT bassist Jeff Williams: "I have to say I am so fucking happy to have Mic playing full-time in ONSLAUGHT. Not only is he a really cool guy and a real pleasure to spend time with, but also without doubt the finest drummer that I have ever had the pleasure to play alongside. Everyone who came along to the 'Scream For Violence' European, U.K., Ireland or South American tours and saw Mic in action will certainly testify to this; the guy is a fucking machine! The ONSLAUGHT lineup is so powerful, focused and harmonious right now and the new album is going to completely fucking destroy!... Bring it on!"

Added Hourihan: "It's such a pleasure to be part of ONSLAUGHT, I am so looking forward to making the next record and of course all the touring that comes with being in such a great band."

Mic will remain a member of Welsh death metallers DESECRATION.

J'ai souvent l'occasion de le croiser à des concerts sur Cardiff. C'est un mec super sympa et son groupe DESECRATION déchire
