La section rythmique a été virée par Coverdale, ou du moins ils s'en vont.
Brian Tichy (Lynch Mob actuellement) arrive à la batterie, en attendant le nom du nouveau bassiste.
Brian Tichy, who has previously played with FOREIGNER, BILLY IDOL, OZZY OSBOURNE, VELVET REVOLVER and LYNCH MOB, was officially announced this past week as WHITESNAKE's new drummer, replacing Chris Frazier, who was in the group for three years.
Commented Tichy: "[WHITESNAKE frontman] David Coverdale put a press release out [on Friday] announcing me as the new WHITESNAKE drummer. So it is with utmost respect, regard, pleasure and honor that I am able to write the words 'I am hittin' skins, pounding time, providing groove and rocking in an unequivocal fashion with one of the most undeniable forces in rock, WHITESNAKE!'
"I am greatly appreciative of the trust bestowed on me by the mighty, Lord Of Voices, David Coverdale, and my bud, who happens to be one of the most killer guitarists around, Doug Aldrich. I am also looking forward to getting it tight with Reb [Beach, guitar] and Timothy [Drury, keyboards]!
"I hope to do all I can to make this band as great and as successful as it can be as well as making the fans happy.
"I too, am, and have been, a fan. (I practiced many hours in high school to the 'Slide It In' cassette! I ain't no stranger!)
"I'm excited to record and tour over the next year as I chase the footsteps of my idols Ian Paice, Cozy Powell and Tommy Aldridge!"
Brian Tichy will honor his previous touring commitments with LYNCH MOB before focusing on his new gig.
WHITESNAKE has yet to name a replacement for bassist Uriah Duffy, whose departure from the band was also announced this past week.

"It's an honor to be welcomed into the WHITESNAKE family. I'm a big fan. WHITESNAKE is notorious for exciting musicianship, Davids history is rich, and I'm very proud to be here."

Maintenant c'est le claviériste Timothy Drury qui se barre pour se consacrer à sa carrière solo.
Keyboardist Timothy Drury (pictured below) has left the legendary rock band WHITESNAKE in order to "pursue a solo career."
"For over seven years now I have been fortunate enough to travel the world, to play and sing my heart out and to share the stage with David Coverdale as a part of WHITESNAKE," Drury said in a statement.
"I've learned so much from David Coverdale and this experience, about following one's heart, about being authentic, about never letting fear prevent one from pursuing one's destiny. More than ever, I see the value of what I can express as a composer and producer, photographer, songwriter, singer... as an artist. That is why I must now say my goodbyes to you all and take my leave to pursue some very important creative projects that have been brewing for some time now.
"I am currently preparing for my first photography show in the Winfield Gallery in Carmel where I will be performing my cinematic music at the opening and projecting my images and video on screens. The event will be happening as part of the Carmel Art and Film Festival, October 6th through the 10th."
WHITESNAKE singer David Coverdale said: "We are sad to lose such a valued member of the band, but, we understand, support and sincerely wish Timothy every success in his solo career & thank him for a great, fun journey together."
At this time WHITESNAKE is focusing on finishing the new studio album before seeking a replacement keyboard player.
