A new ORPHANED LAND track entitled "Vayehi Or" (Hebrew for "Let there be light") is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. The song comes off the Israeli progressive folk metal masters' highly anticipated fourth studio opus, "The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR", which is scheduled for release in Europe on January 25, 2010 and in the U.S. on February 9 via Century Media Records. Mixed by Steven Wilson (PORCUPINE TREE, OPETH), who is also responsible for several keyboard parts on the new CD, the effort is a sophisticated concept album which takes ORPHANED LAND's unique brand of exotic, heavy music to soaring new heights in terms of complexity and catchiness.

Commented the band: "For those of you who don't know, each year the longest night of the year happens at December 21 and from this day on the nights get shorter while the days get longer. On a spiritual level this symbolizes the resurrection of the light and the death of darkness (the opposite happens at every June 21).

"Since our new album, 'The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR', is a concept album about the warrior of light, we decided to share with you another short track titled 'Va'yehi Or'. Please note that our album is 78.22 min long and these are just small tastes of the whole journey."

On how religious people could learn a lesson from the global metal community as it does not care about ethnic and religious backgrounds:

"Just come to see the ORPHANED LAND shows in Turkey. Come to see how ORPHANED LAND sings in Turkish and how sometimes the Turkish fans sing with ORPHANED LAND in Hebrew. A priest, a rabbi or a sheikh: If you do not believe in the utopia ORPHANED LAND can create with its music, if you cannot get along, the metal people can show you how to do it."

On how a lasting peace could occur in the Middle East:

"I will say that the only way to open our eyes is music. People tell me, 'You're naïve' and 'You are a dreamer,' but this is a fact. My music creates bridges between nations. I would say we are succeeding where politicians fail."

"[Our fans] are the future. They are liberal, they are open-minded, they do not want to kill you because of your religion. They know religion is about other things than killing each other in the name of God. There is no other way than music to educate ourselves and listen to each other."

Israel’s ORPHANED LAND kick off the New Year with a brand-new track from their upcoming opus, The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR.

Singer Kobi Farhi explains: “'Disciples Of The Sacred Oath II' is a heavy song, both musically and lyrically and it is one of the most important tracks of the album by its meaning. Indeed, it calls for a laying down of arms, to realize that the warriors are first of all brothers: “Lay down your swords, blood and flesh you share”...”Shall we see the end of war, bloodbrothers?”. It is definitively the most outspoken text we ever wrote on this subject. Furthermore, as this song contains Arabic lyrics, we would like to dedicate it to our Arab fans and we hope that one day we will sing it together in a show in their home countries!”

Je le trouve vraiment bon ce nouvel extrait ! Plus progressif que les deux autres extraits, il est aussi plus metal !

Je suis en train de l'écouter, et comme prévu il est balèze à appréhender, mais pour l'instant j'aime bien.
Un album d'une grande richesse à mon avis (comme toujours avec eux !)

Sinon l'album j'aime bien mais à part Sapari justement, y a peu de morceaux directs

The CD landed at No. 80 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Pour ses 20 ans, The Beloved's Cry est réédité avec des démos de 1993.

The limited edition digipack features new liner notes, and remastered demo recordings from 1993.
