Le 19 et 20 Juin prochain, Sammy Hagar (avec en guest Michael Anthony) va filmer 2 concerts pour un nouveau DVD contenant des morceaux de sa carriere solo, de Montrose et bien entendu de Van Halen.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday, June 19 and 20, 2007, Sammy Hagar will spend two days in St. Louis rockin' the town for the launch of his live DVD, "Livin' It Up! In St. Louis". Hagar will be a special guest at the St. Louis Cardinals home game at Busch Stadium on the day of the release. The following night (June 20), Hagar will host a rockin' red-carpet fiesta and DVD screening at the Pageant Night Club in St. Louis where fans will have the opportunity to view his newly released live DVD and enjoy a very special performance of SAMMY HAGAR AND THE WABOS unplugged. The red-carpet event will have the trademark Cabo Wabo-style that Hagar is known for with Mariachi bands aplenty, tasty Mexican food and the Cabo Wabo tequila flowing. The performance will be simulcast to St.Louis' KSHE radio and XM radio will broadcast the show the week of June 25 four separate times on its "Boneyard" program.

On "Livin' It Up! In St. Louis" SAMMY HAGAR AND THE WABOS bring down the house on their sold-out tour in 2006 with songs from their new album, "Livin' It Up!", as well as some of Sammy's famed solo work. Joined on stage for the second half of the show by legendary VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony, the band rips through some of rock radio's classic tunes.

Une méga news Joe forme un combo "Chickenfoot" avec Mrs S.Hagar & M. Anthony de Van Halen et le batteur des Red Hot

un album et une tournée ( see ya in Hell on stage

)sont d'ore et déjà prévue

A chaud (2 écoutes seulement), je le trouve plutôt cool cet album !

J'ai été un poil déçu à la première écoute, car j'en avais beaucoup entendu parlé et j'en attendais certainement trop !

Bonne ambiance US ! Un satriani très en retenu (c'est peut être ça qui m'a dérangé !

), qui intègre parfaitement son jeu dans un groupe ! Bref, du bon !

Moi c'est tout le contraire, les premiers extraits entendus m'avaient gonflés et les voir faire les cons tout le temps me donnait l'impression d'un truc léger fait à la va vite pour tourner à la va vite.
Or en le mettant dans ma platine, ca m'a scotché!
Je retrouve le Hagar de Van Halen .... sa carriere solo m'ayant moins emballée ...
Là on a un putain d'album de bon Rock Us!
Satriani normalement j'en ai rien à foutre .... à part malmsteen moi les shredders ... mais là où d'autres disent qu'il en fait trop ... moi je trouve au contraire que pour un mec qui vient de l'instru son jeu s'integre super bien au style (j'aurai prefere le voir dans Purple plutôt que Morse d'ailleurs, et je reste de cet avis)
Chad Smith assure une putain de rythmique qui ...
Bref, je suis vraiment convaincu par ce disque!
Et puis merde quoi, Hagar 61 piges quoi !!!
J'espere m'en prendre plein la gueule en live, et pourvu que ca dure !

Pareil. Même si c'est hors-sujet, je considère pas Satriani comme un shredder. Pour moi, le terme shredder est forcément péjoratif !

J'ai vu le gus qu'une fois en live, et c'était musical, rock'n'roll et tout. Un vrai concert quoi.

Mais je m'y connais pas plus que ça.

Ben t'es pas le seul, mais je comprends pas pourquoi... Par exemple, Vinnie Moore correspond bien au terme Shredder selon moi et pourtant il fait des "vraies" chansons instru !

Enfin bref, on s'en branle !

Sammy Hagar (van Halen, Montrose) a révélé le titre du deuxième album de Chickenfoot, qui est actuellement en cours d'enregistrement. Il s'agit de "Chickenfoot IV". Sammy Hagar a déclaré qu'il ne s'agit que du titre de travail, mais qu'il convenait parfaitement au disque.

Rappelons que le line up de Chickenfoot est composé de Michael Anthony (Van Halen), Joe Satriani et Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers).

Chad Smith n'étant pas disponible en ce moment, il est remplacé temporairement par l'énorme Kenny Aronoff à la batterie.

CHICKENFOOT - featuring former VAN HALEN singer SAMMY HAGAR and bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist JOE SATRIANI and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith - have officially announced that Kenny Aronoff (JOHN MELLENCAMP, MELISSA ETHERIDGE, JOHN FOGERTY) will be filling in on drums for upcoming live Chickenfoot shows. In other news, the band have announced a very special release-day free live webcast event that will happen on September 27th. More details to be announced soon.
