Vu qu'Iced Earth semble presque être géré comme une PME avec aux manettes le big boss Shaffer, le chanteur qui a le droit à une légère importance et les musiciens-employés, j'abonderais dans ton sens.

Je ne sais pas s'il collera dans le style d'ICED EARTH mais perso je le trouve plutôt bon. En tout cas je péfère sa voix à celle de Owens.

À bien y repenser, je me demande ce que Jon Gros-Patriote-Républicain Shaffer va faire quand il va se rendre compte que son nouveau chanteur est un Canadien, donc un quasi-socialiste (même si la Saskatchewan semble être une province plutôt à droite ces temps-ci).

Pour moi, le seul chanteur qui colle à la musique de "Jon Schaffer", c'est "Hansi Kürsch". En espérant que le départ de Barlow, nous fait venir un 3éme "Demons And Wizards"

Après, savoir si sa voix s'intégrera plus ou moins bien dans la musique d'Iced Earth, ça...

D'toute manière j'ai jamais été fan de ce groupe, alors hein bon!

Pour ceux qui se demandent ce que devient Matt Barlow, il n'a pas complètement quitté la scène et semble travailler sur un projet solo, même s'il n'en parle quasiment pas.

Melodic power metal band ARTIZAN has announced that ICED EARTH vocal legend Matt Barlow will make a very special guest appearance on the title track of their new album Ancestral Energy. The track reveals an intriguing back story for the original song 'Curse of the Artizan' which was released in 2011. Matt will perform the voice of the Artizan's ancestors.

Official statement from Matt Barlow: "I’m happy to announce that I will be lending my voice to the forthcoming release of the new Artizan album 'Ancestral Energy.' In addition to my own musical project, Ty and the guys of Artizan have given me the opportunity to appear as a guest vocalist on what I believe will be a great conceptual endeavor. If you have followed what the band has recorded previously, you know that they are very much into 'storytelling' and that’s something that has always interested me in this genre. As another benefit, I will get to work with producer Jim Morris again as he puts the guys through their paces at Morrisound Recording. I’m looking forward to recording the song that I’ll be performing on, and think that we’ll have a great time with it. Keep listening."
