Ce groupe qui a par le passé contenu des anciens membres de Steel Prophet, Helstar, Crescent Shield, Destiny's End et toute la clique du metal US plutôt technique, s'est remis au travail avec un nouveau chanteur.
Los Angeles based metallers NEW EDEN will release their new album, Solving For X, this spring via Pure Steel Records.
Says the group: "The band is happy to have found an appropriate home for Solving For X. New Eden feels that Pure Steel Records focus on the heavy metal market is exactly what the new CD needs. The band looks forward to the labels ability to deliver its music to both existing and new generations of metalheads.
The label states: "New Eden is one of the few bands combining complex and for parts progressive US power metal in that way that the songs will be catchy and long living in everybodies ears. With Rod Arias the band has an absolutely professional vocalist you maybe remember from the US-veterans RECON. No need to loose words about band boss Horacio Colmenares if you are a bit into US ,etal. The rest of the band is for sure not worse, so we are happy to have these fine musicians at Pure Steel Records."

J'ai un bon souvenir du dernier album avec une certaine richesse de jeu, même si c'était un peu trop long et répétitif au bout d'un moment, j'aurais préféré plus concis.

me suis pris l'album, et sais pas trop quoi en penser... la prise de son est vraiment trop horrible. C'est vraiment compressé à mort et vite lassant. Pis ils ont vraiment viré dans un style plus agressif et un peu moins complexe c'est pas un mal, mais avec le chanteur de Recon j'aurais pu espérer un truc un peu plus Heavy US mélodique et accrocheur. M'enfin après plusieurs écoutes dans la caisse et sur ma stéréo c'est finalement au casque que l'album se laisse le mieux écouter et y a quand même de bonne chose dans l'ensemble. M'enfin bref à conseiller seulement au fan.
