March 23rd (Europe) and 27th (North America) sees the release of the fifth AURA NOIR album, Out to Die, their first album with Indie Recordings, with Blasphemer (guitars; aka Rune Eriksen) permanently back in the fold and several tours in Europe, North and South America under their belt since 2008’s Hades Rise.
According to a press release, "Out To Die has been in the making for the past few years, being forged at Apollyon's studio in the mountains of Alvdal whenever the band gathered for beer and frenziness. The album sees a more intense and aggressive approach compared to what the band has done in the past, with an increasingly stark and raw vibe to it all."
Out To Die was recorded on various locations in both Norway and Portugal (Blasphemer's current location) during December of 2011.
I'm the lost one chasing colors to the sun
Colors bleed but never fade
After nearly 25 years upholding and reinvigorating black/thrash metal's grimmest traditions for the delight of the international underground, Aura Noir will unleash their sixth full-length on April 27th via Indie Recordings, the semi-self-titled Aura Noire. The first single, "Dark Lung Of The Storm", is available for you below.
Aggressor comments: "'Dark Lung Of The Storm' is the opener on the album. The first sequence of riffs has this come-back vibe to it, though we haven't come back, we've been here all the time."
