FUELED BY FIRE – Aggressive, evil, fast and… RRRAAAWWWW!

Since their debut album „Spread The Fire“ made a huge impact on the metal scene, it´s about time to unleash the second album „Plunging Into Darkness“ finally also in Europe via NoiseArt Records! The album will include a yet unreleased, brand new song called „Deadly Restraints“ as a bonus track exclusively for Europe!

“We wanted to take our music a step further and make it darker, heavier, and much more aggressive! We wanted to show that we are maturing as musicians and song writers. We took many different influences into account when writing this album ranging from early thrash metal and early death metal. and really just tried making it into a solid thrash metal album!” FUELED BY FIRE

And how right he is. The album sounds like Satan himself were on the instruments – hard hitting, evil, nasty and mainly aggressive! The lyrics are extremely dark and gloomy, songs such as „Within The Abyss“, „Evoke The Curse“ or „Amongst The Dead“ should stimulate fans´ imagination, according to Ricardo Rangel.

“That’s what you have to love about thrash metal, it’s RAW! We definitely like to stick to the old school themes. Those themes are to stimulate your imagination really, if you look into the lyrics we try to paint you a picture as you read them. Whether it’s a song about disease, demonic possession, or just about a fucked up world. We hope they blow your mind!”

Who cranks up their stereo system at home with the new album will be hit by the massive production, and where other groups have renowned “producers” put finishing touches to their records, the “Fire” do it all themselves. Nobody from the outside has messed with the sound and mixing board, is Rangel happy.

“This album was completely self produced with no outside input. We felt that we knew exactly what we wanted when we went into the recording studio. We definitely wanted to have the best possible sound that we could get without it sounding too over polished in the end. We use all of the lessons we learned from past recording sessions. We wanted the finished product to be HEAVY!”

2011 they inked a record deal for Europe with NoiseArt Records and Rock The Nation booking and now they are back with a vengeance! The new album “Plunging Into Darkness” is a ferocious beast; aggressive, old-school thrash metal at its best! The album will be unleashed in Europe on April 27, the band is also to play KEEP IT TRUE Festival Germany the same weekend!

Rising from Beneath:

A chilling description of a world where the dead rise andhave come to consume the life's of the living. In this tale, the dead prevail

Within the Abyss:

Imprisoned, a man sentenced to be executed for horrible crimeshe has committed. Has been driven to the edge of insanity, while envisioninghow his fate will take him. In the end, he suffers as he is locked in a chamberand is eaten alive by rats.

Unidentified Remains:

Influenced by the true events that are happening today. Menseek not only to kill a man, but to send a morbid message. Fuck with us and youwill be cut to pieces and displayed for the world to see.

Plunging Into Darkness:

As the voices in his mind start to consume his life, a manis forced to decide to seek help or give in to these demons that haunt himeveryday. The choice was simple, give in to the darkness.

Eye of the Demon:

More of a precursor to the events that lead to a mansurrendering his soul, A man questions his sanity as he starts to feel themisery that will eventually consume him.

Evoke The Curse:

This song is a description of the power of black magic. Oncethe spells have been cast, there is no hope for any victim.

Amongst the Dead:

A story of a man who thrives on killing and consuming thebody's of his innocent victims. His morbid appetite shows no mercy.

Sickness Of Humanity:

This song is about the disgusting ways of human beings.Although history tells us the outcome of our actions. Humans will never learn.

Mass Infestation:

Outbreak of disease threatens our whole existence. The factthat we are able to neutralize these outbreaks shows our will to survive. Thissong tells of the catastrophic outcome when we fail to find a solution.

Deadly Restraints:

This song brings attention to the horrors that some mentally challenged people face when those who are suppose to care for them end uptorturing and killing them when they see fit. These situations are very commonbecause most are simply rule accidental. This song is written from thecaretakers point of view.

Ca sert à quoi de faire un track by track d'un album de thrash old-school?

[Holocaust In My Head]

Excellent cet album, j'ai tout de même une préférence pour le précédent où figurait un guitariste chanteur différent ; le nouvel album est me semble t-il un peu plus agressif, ça fait un p'tit peu longtemps que je ne l'ai as écouté, je vais y rejeter une oreille.

Comme l'a dit kingdavid666, l'album est en fait terminé depuis très longtemps, je l'ai depuis juillet 2010 ( acheté lors de leur passage à Lille ) et je l'ai écouté pas mal de fois. Je trouve que c'est vraiment un bon album, beaucoup plus agressif que Spread The Fire, comme l'a remarqué Holocaust In My Head. En effet, Gio est parti en 2007 ( ou 2008 ), remplacé par Chris Monroy ( Rick Rangel s'occupe maintenant de la guitare et du chant ), qui est un peu plus jeune que les autres d'ailleurs. En discutant un peu avec lui, il m'a appris qu'il avait apporté pas mal d'influences Death ( il a d'ailleurs un groupe parallèle beaucoup moins connu que FBF qui s'appelle Skeletal Remains ) au son de Fueled By Fire. En tout cas il a un sacré niveau technique et il est aisé de faire la différence entre ses solos et ceux de Rick : c'est, selon lui, un style différent. C'est surtout qu'il est bien meilleur que Rick
En tout cas c'est cool pour eux qu'ils aient enfin un contrat avec un bon label.
