After the major “7 Sinners” world tour and a well deserved break the boys have just entered the studio to work on their new studio album.
The new production will again be helmed by long-term producer Charlie Bauerfeind and will of course contain all the trademarks. Already in this early stage the new effort promises to be much more than a fine follow-up to the highly acclaimed “Gambling With The Devil”- and “7 Sinners”-albums. Bombastic epic pieces have been worked on as well as ultrafast heavy songs and mid-tempo anthems.
Says guitarist Michael Weikath: “Right now we are busy with finalizing the songwriting process and are getting ready to take the accumulated ideas into a final selection for the new record. Everybody in the band is excited and eager to take what we have worked on so far to the next level.
The recordings for the „7 Sinners”-follow-up will be running until the end of 2012 with a release being looked at in the beginning of 2013.
Watch out for news and reports from the studio as the HELLOWEEN-machine is on a roll again....
German power metallers HELLOWEEN have set "Straight Out Of Hell" as the title of their new album, due on January 18, 2013. The CD is once again being helmed by longtime producer Charlie Bauerfeind at HELLOWEEN singer Andi Deris's Mi Sueño Studios in Tenerife, Spain. A limited-edition version of the album will be made available with bonus tracks and special packaging.
HELLOWEEN previously promised that its new new album would be "much more than a fine follow-up to the highly acclaimed 'Gambling With The Devil' and '7 Sinners' albums. Bombastic epic pieces have been worked on as well as ultrafast heavy songs and mid-tempo anthems."
HELLOWEEN will join forces with GAMMA RAY for the "Hellish Rock Part II" tour starting in March.
"7 Sinners", the 13th studio album from HELLOWEEN, sold around 1,900 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 7 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
I'm the lost one chasing colors to the sun
Colors bleed but never fade
