Kennesaw, Georgia-based rockers JACKYL will release their new album, "Best In Show", on July 31 via Mighty Loud Entertainment, with distribution from Fontana Distribution, LLC.

J'ai pas encore regardé la vidéo, mais s'il s'agit bien de ce à quoi je pense, ça m'a l'air d'être un Theremine (du nom de son inventeur Lev Termen), un des plus anciens instruments électroniques à oscillateur, qui avait été présenté à Lénine peu après la révolution russe.
Effectivement c'est assez fréquent chez les groupes à tendance satellisante (vu chez Riverside), Joe Bonamassa s'en sert également pour le solo de "The Ballad of John Henry", un grand moment d'ailleurs.

Ah Jackyl et son solo de tronçonneuse sur The Lumberjack ! grand moment ! et des titres comme "Dirty Little Mind" ou "She Loves My Cock",tout un programme de finesse et de poésie ! J'ai regardé il y a peu leur live at the full throttle saloon.Tres fun !

JACKYL will release its new album, "Rowyco", on August 5 via Mighty Loud Records. "Rowyco" is said to be the fattest-sounding record to date for the band.
"This will be an exciting year," predicts lead singer Jesse James Dupree. "With the album's release timing perfectly with the grand opening of the Full Throttle Saloon, in Sturgis, South Dakota. The original location burned to the ground last year AND they are building back bigger and better than ever."
The Full Throttle Saloon enjoyed a six-year run of a hit reality television show of the same name, which documented owner Michael Ballard and Jesse's struggles to get the bar up, running and profitable during the world's largest motorcycle rally.
The first single off "Rowyco", titled "Rally", is the perfect song to kick off summer, as it's time to rally for rock!
"There is not a better song than 'Rally' to set the pace for an incredible summer 2016," exclaims Jesse. "So crank that bitch up!"
And as far as the album as a whole, Jesse states: "It's a JACKYL record at its core, but there are some tracks, lyrically, that I went a little deeper on a personal level with some things I had going on at the time. It is the thickest-sounding production that we have ever recorded. It's just a huge slice of rock. 'Rowyco' is a very diverse album and every track has its purpose."

It’s an incredible accomplishment when a rock band has been successful enough to reach the 25-year mark since the release of their first album. And this year, raunchy southern rockers Jackyl have accomplished this feat, and are celebrating with an appropriately-titled compilation, 25, which drops July 28th via Mighty Loud Records.
The 18-track set (which can be pre0ordered via the band’s official site, jackyl.com) features such Jackyl radio hits as “Down On Me”, “The Lumberjack,” “Push Comes To Shove”, and “Favorite Sin”, as well as two previously unreleased tracks - a live rendition of “Redneck Punk”, as well as a cover of Black Oak Arkansas’ “Hot and Nasty”.
“At the time we first hit the scene, we were told by quite a few interviewers and fans that we sounded like a cross between Black Oak Arkansas and AC/DC,” explains Jackyl. “While we was very familiar with AC/DC, we were not with BOA. We went back and listened, and were blown away - so much so, that we recorded a cover of one of their most kick ass tunes, ‘Hot and Nasty,’ which is now finally getting its release on this comp.”
First bursting upon the scene with their self-titled, platinum-certified debut album in 1992, Jackyl has made a name for themselves as a killer live band that delivers night after night, and has continued to offer up good old fashioned blues boogie over the years, as evidenced on such subsequent albums as 1994’s gold-certified Push Comes To Shove, all the way to their most recent release, 2016’s Rowyco.
“With this compilation, we are celebrating 25 years of Jackyl rock n’ roll - the fundamentals of rock n roll,” adds Jesse. “And beware - we are not slowing down anytime soon.”
