After an absence of more than twenty years, the US traditional heavy metal band SLEEPY HOLLOW has reunited with its original line-up; Bob Mitchell (vocals), Steve Stegg (guitars), Steve Brink (bass guitars) and Tommy Wassman (drums).
Known, stylistically, for combining the elements of power and doom metal, the band are credited with three official releases, the self titled Sleepy Hollow (1991), A Legend Retold (2000) and the best of collection Rest In Pieces: 1989-1992 (2002).
The band is currently picking up where it has left off as they are writing material and polishing up some unfinished songs for their comeback album (no title yet).
Sleep Hollow's new album will be released through German vinyl specialists High Roller Records sometime in 2011. The release will, subsequently, be followed by a string of reunion shows. More details to follow.

A noter que le bassiste de Symphony X, Mike LePond, a rejoint le groupe.
Reunited heavy metal band SLEEPY HOLLOW has recruited Mike LePond (SYMPHONY X) as its new bassist.
LePond will make his live debut with SLEEPY HOLLOW on November 5 at Metal'cuse at the Fusion Room in Syracuse, New York. This will be SLEEPY HOLLOW's first show in over 20 years. The band is also planning a few more concerts for later this year in mid-November and into early December.
Commented SLEEPY HOLLOW: "Our original bass player, Steve Brink, was not able to commit to us in any capacity. He did contribute the artwork for our new album and we thank him with the understanding that although he will not participate in any future projects with us, he will, however, always be a part of the SLEEPY HOLLOW family. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors. As for Mike LePond, he has graciously accepted to step in for us until a permanent member is found and needless to say we are thrilled to have him with us for our live shows later this year."
