DEMONICA, the solo project of MERCYFUL FATE guitarist Hank Shermann, is putting the finishing touches on its debut album for a tentative late spring/early summer release via an as-yet-undisclosed label. The CD will be mixed in February in Denver, Colorado.

Mais ne vous attendez pas à du old school, c'est du thrash modernisé. Le chant braillé est un peu trop générique à mon goût mais le reste j'aime. Avec le solo made in Shermann.

DEMONICA, the solo project of MERCYFUL FATE guitarist Hank Shermann, will release its debut album, "Demonsotrous", on February 26, 2010 via Massacre Records. The CD was mixed at Flatline Audio in Denver, Colorado with Dave Otero (CEPHALIC CARNAGE, MARTRIDEN, COBALT).
"We are totally stoked how this turned out and can't wait to get it out there," says Hank. "These 10 songs are the most thrashy and brutal songs I have ever played."
"We chose Dave for his extra edge and experience working with some of the most grinding bands around. We wanted a different approach to the mix than the standard these days, [and] he really nailed it."

Je viens de l'écouter et à environ 1 mn, on commence effectivement à en prendre dans la tronche ! Et tout à fait d'accord sur la voix laquelle, pour l'instant, me semble être le maillon faible.

Ouais sympa, un son un peu à la sauce des derniers Exodus avec un chant un peu à la D. Townsend, pas dégueu mais j'aurais bien vu un chant thrash plus classique.

DEMONICA — the project featuring MERCYFUL FATE guitarist Hank Shermann alongside FORBIDDEN/SPIRALARMS axeman Craig Locicero — has tapped drummer Paul Bostaph (SLAYER, EXODUS, TESTAMENT, FORBIDDEN) for the band's sophomore album, which is expected to be recorded sometime in 2013.
"Hank is busy until March and he wants me to write the majority of the record with [bassist Marc] Grabowski and Paul," Locicero tells BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "I've started riffing. That's where it's at. I want Hank to contribute, so I'm taking it slow."
He adds, "For the next few months I'm really concentrating on SPIRALARMS. That's where my heart is."
