je me suis récemment procuré "Death is this communion" "blessed black wings" et "surrounded by thieves".
Un groupe que j'apprécie mais avec parcimonie.
Je me le prendrais sûrement, mais peut être pas dés sa sortie.

Nouvel album pour le groupe américain:

"Snakes for the Divine" will be released in Europe on March 8 via Century Media Records (under exclusive license from E1 Music). The follow-up to 2007's "Death is this Communion", which will be made available in North America on February 23 via E1 Music, was recorded at The Pass Studios in Los Angeles with producer Greg Fidelman and is described in a press release as "HIGH ON FIRE's magnum opus, capturing every nuance of the legendary band's ongoing musical progression and evolution into one of heavy music's all-time greats. Sharper, faster and darker than anything the group has ever recorded, 'Snakes for the Divine' is an unrelenting tour de force, showcasing cult guitar hero Matt Pike's utterly unique and inventive musicianship and the band's epic, thundering sound. Premium production by Fidelman — the man who produced SLAYER's 'World Painted Blood' and is mixing the upcoming METALLICA live album — boosts HIGH ON FIRE's strength and power while blackened lyrical tales of ancient wars, frozen planets and doomed societies emerge from Pike's bellowing barks and throaty war cries. From the moment the leviathan-like title track explodes to kick off the album, it is immediately evident that HIGH ON FIRE is determined to push modern heavy metal into new and uncharted realms."

je le trouve un peu plus facile d'accès que leurs anciens albums (moins violent, plus mélodique) mais ça reste bien sympa!

Après une bonne dizaine d'écoutes, c'est un album que je recommande chaudement. Il y a de superbes parties de guitares, une atmosphère infernale et une musique au parfait croisement entre Slayer et Fu Manchu

ouais je l'ai pas mal écouté également, et il passe très bien. Mieux que les précédents même.

Last month, High On Fire announced the release of their new single Slave The Hive and as promised, here it is. The US group presents the single through Scion AV, and it is now available to stream and for free download below. A new video for "Slave The Hive" will debut soon, so stay tuned for that as well. Enjoy the metallers first new music since De Vermis Mysteriis.

The limited edition 7" single of Slave The Hive will be available during High On Fire's upcoming North American tour. Supporting the band on the tour will be Kvelertak, plus they'll be joined on some dates by Doomriders, Pack Of Wolves and Windhand.
