Iron Savior - Rise of the Hero

IRON SAVIOR apporte actuellement les dernières touches à son futur opus (encore sans nom). Celui-ci sortira via AFM Records le 28 février prochain. Il a été dévoilé que la pochette de cet opus a été dessinée par Felipe Machado Franco qui a déjà oeuvré pour BLIND GUARDIAN ou encore RHAPSODY OF FIRE.

Bonne nouvelle! Le petit dernier était excellent (le meilleur derrière Unification?) et en plus il avait un son d'enfer

Pas un grand fan du père Filipe mais la pochette de "the landing" passait plutôt bien. (elle est bien de lui, rassurez moi?)

German power metallers Iron Savior released their last album The Landing in 2011. Despite being quiet for a while, the band finally has some news about their next album. The songwriting process of the new material is almost over and the band starts recording in October. Iron Savior has also already set a release date for February 28th next year.

Piet Sielck gave the following update: "Hey folks, some news from the IS camp: final approach for finishing songwriting. Working like a maniac to have all songs ready to record by the end of September. I will take 2 week break in Andalusia where I hope to catch some nice swell (I'm a pathetic boogie soft boarder, haha). When getting back to Hamburg by mid of October, I'll start mixing the new Stormwarrior right away, followed seamlessly by recording drums with Thomas for IS. After that all vocals will be nailed to start mixing by early November to deliver everything by the 25th. Keep your fingers crossed that this really tight and ambitious schedule is working out! Release is scheduled for Feb 28th 2014! Felipe Machado is working on the artwork already and I can't wait for the first draft... So, that's it for the moment. All the best to all of you! \m/ Piet."

With “The Landing”, German heavy/power metal force IRON SAVIOR returned to the scene after a 4-year break in November 2011. The band made impact on the scene again with one of their very best releases, and that’s where IRON SAVIOR now continue with “Rise Of The Hero” (out on February 28th). As usual, the new album was recorded and produced in Piet Sielck’s Powerhouse studio. What can be expected? A full dose of first-class heavy music, power metal to the max!
But IRON SAVIOR like to surprise their fans as well from time to time. Who would have expected a cover version of Mando Diao’s “Dance With Somebody” from the Hamburg-based band? Well, whatever works is allowed. So Sielck admits that “Dance With Somebody” originally was recorded to become a bonus track for the limited edition, “but we simply liked it too much and finally decided to make it a regular album track”.
Beside the “saviorized” Mando Diao song you find 11 crunchy, melodic, powerful metal tracks in best IRON SAVIOR style. Compared to “The Landing”, the new material even turned out to be a little heavier while easily keeping the band’s trademarks alive.

IRON SAVIOR will celebrate the release of their new album with a special LIVE release show on February 26th in their home town Hamburg, Germany.

Titre sympatoche sans être exceptionnel, par contre un clip fédérateur qui représente bien le metalleux au quotidien (mention spéciale pour les passages en voiture, on s'y croirai ).

Par contre vlà le décalage entre la pochette et le clip.
Les musiciens de session de chez Man-Power-Metal Gemany qui font semblant d'être dans un vrai groupe.

Le titre est cool en revanche.

D'une manière générale le concept thématique du groupe était ambitieux au départ, même s'ils l'ont partiellement abandonné en cours de route pour des choses plus traditionnellement heavy metal à l'image du clip. Mais bon, ça reste sympa.

Sinon le dessinateur c'est toujours le même mec qui n'a que deux couleurs dans sa mallette et qui fait des covers pour pas mal de groupes de metal ces dernières années ?

J'ai pu entendre "Last Hero", "Revenge of the Bride" et "Burning Heart" sur leur dernière date en Italie et c'est vraiment bon !

J'ai écouté la chanson sinon, ça se laisse écouter, mais je pense que 12 fois de suite ça risque de paraitre long !

J'ai beaucoup aimé leurs 2 derniers albums, plutôt confiant avec celui-là.

L'album est sorti, pour l'instant je ne me suis pas aussi enthousiasmé qu'avec ses prédécesseurs, mais certains titres laissent déjà une bonne impression.
