Dommage, les trois albums avec ce line-up offraient de très bons moments, même si le dernier était plutôt décevant.

Vocalist Aad Kloosterwaard of Dutch death metallers SINISTER has revealed the band's new lineup following the recent departures of guitarist Alex Paul, drummer Edwin van den Eeden and bassist Joost van der Graaf. It is as follows:

* Toep Duin (ex-SUPREME PAIN, GODMODE) - Drums
* Bastiaan Brussaard (SUPREME PAIN) - Guitar
* Dennis Hartog (GODMODE) – Bass/Guitar

Commented Kloosterwaard: "Soon we will start with the first practice with the new SINISTER lineup. We have also already two new tracks finished... 'Deranged By Desecration' and 'Regarding The Imagery By The Hand Of Bastiaan' for our next record that will get the name 'The Carnage Ending'."

Un peu de tendresse pour septembre.

Dutch death metallers SINISTER will release their new album, "The Carnage Ending", on September 28 via Massacre Records. The CD was once again recorded at Soundlodge studios in Rhauderfehn, Germany with producer Jörg Uken (GOD DETHRONED, OBSCENITY).

Poland's Metal Mind Productions released an exclusive box containing SINISTER's full discography in February 2011. Entitled "Altered Since Birth", the set contains eight studio albums, a live DVD, a compilation of demo tracks, plus a booklet containing a full biography based on an exclusive interview, the complete discography, lyrics to all songs and a selection of amazing archive photos. The cover artwork was created by the well-known Polish graphic designer Graal.

Excellente news! J'adore ce groupe et ces albums post-reformations sont pratiquement tous excellents. Ils sont su évoluer (à la fois plus brutal et mélodique) tout en restant fidèle à leurs racines. J'irai les voir à Nantes les 19 avril à l'Eviscer Assault 2 vu q'ils se font très rares sur Paris (dernière fois il y a bien 6 ans en région parisienne devant 5 pelés et 1 tondu).

Je l'ai depuis quelques semaines. Bien cool, toujours ce feeling 90s mélangé aux gros blasts d'aujourd'hui. Mais l'album se répète un peu et est globalement moins inspiré que le précédent je trouve. C'est un peu toujours la même chose et ça manque de vraies bonnes mélodies comme sur Afterburner. Mais bon je ne vais pas me plaindre qu'un cador du DM européen garde un tel niveau. C'est même sans doute l'album le plus brutal des Néerlandais (Cross The Styx paraît presque mollasson à côté

). Y'a 3 reprises sur l'édition limitée dont "Unstoppable Force" d'Agent Steel

Veteran Dutch death metallers Sinister will celebrate their 25th anniversary with a record called Dark Memorials, expected to be released on June 26th via Massacre Records. And since it's celebration time, you can now enjoy Sinister's cover version of Slayer's song "Necrophiliac" below. The release will feature two old re-recorded songs from the band and covers.

Aucun intérêt, donc.
A part la pochette ? On dirait du Kris Verwimp, mais ce n'est pas du Kris Verwimp.

En fait, ce groupe n'a plus aucun intérêt depuis quelques années. Sinister, c'est un job, pas une passion. Tant sur album que sur scène. Une ancienne valeur sûre, une institution éphémère.

Ils commencent un peu à tourner en rond sur leur dernier album mais sinon le groupe s'en sort très bien pour moi depuis qu'il a été ressuscité sur l'excellent Afterburner. Le groupe a pris un virage très brutal (quasi que du blasts) depuis 2-3 opus, il est loin d'être mort contrairement à plein d'autres.

Sinon, oui, cette compil n'a aucun intérêt.

Dutch death metallers Sinister are back with another new album! Following 2014's The Post-Apocalyptic Servant, and the anniversary album Dark Memorials, the band is releasing Syncretism on February 24th, 2017 via Massacre Records. Produced, mixed and mastered by Jörg Uken at Soundlodge, the opus features cover artwork by Alex Tartsus Art Studios. Feast your eyes on it below.

Sinister explained: "It's a new story of sacrilege. Sinister is here to support the amalgamation of dark religions and rituals. The killer riffs, pounding drums and extra dimensions provide this dark atmosphere! Wait for this majestic delivery and convince yourself - this is Syncretism! This is Death Metal!"

Un peu déçu par le dernier qui partait trop dans le blast systématique, j'espère que celui redressera la barre parce que la disco de Sinister post reformation est quand même bien sympa!

Bon c'est léger, quelques orchestrations ici ou là mais ça fait bizarre.... cela dit il m'a plutôt laissé une bonne impression après 2-3 écoutes!

Je croyais que l album sortais le 24 et il est déjà sur you tube, sinon l apport d ambiances sombres aere bien l ensemble, bon album en espérant du live rapidement
