7 ans plus tard, les revoilou :

As was recently announced, Veni Domine will soon be releasing a new full-length album titled "Light." Massacre Records has now issued the following official statement about inking a deal with the band:
"We're happy to welcome Veni Domine in the Massacre Records family! If you're not familiar with the band, it's our pleasure to introduce you to them!
"The story of Veni Domine began in 1987 when Torbjörn Weinesjö, Thomas Weinesjö and Anders Olofsson formed the band. Fredrik Sjöholm (back then Olsson) joined them shortly after.
"At first, the band’s name was Glorify, which soon got changed to Seventh Seal. The band name Veni Domine exists since the early 90’s as the first record deal was landed.
"Bass and keyboard positions have changed a few times since then but the band’s core still remains.
"The musical style was soon labeled as doom but this was not the aim of the band. Veni Domine was always trying to evolve and symphonic elements as well as progressive ones are often heard on the albums.
"The band recorded debut album 'Fall Babylon Fall' in Eastbourne, England, for Kingsway Music Records. The next albums - 'Material Sanctuary' and 'Spiritual Wasteland' - were released via Thunderload Records in Sweden only. Both albums, as well as the debut album, were then licensed from Thunderload to be released via Massacre Records in the rest of the world.
"There was a huge gap between the release of 'Spiritual Wasteland' and the fourth album 'IIII - The Album Of Labour,' which saw the light of day via Rivel Records, due to various reasons.
"For the latest full-length albums, '23:59' and 'Tongues,' Veni Domine joined forces with the German label MCM Music.
"Veni Domine has now signed with Massacre Records, where the first album since 7 years, entitled 'Light,' will soon be released."

Le groupe vient de splitter :
Veni Domine 1987-2014
With a heavy heart we bring you the news that we decided to put the band to sleep, it is no longer.
27 years that holds and keeps the full spectra of every emotion imaginable, not without sadness we left the table with the desicion unthinkeble but yet unineviteble.
Time caught up with us and at the end of the day we found that trying keeping a band at a high level with all including parts is a task too timeconsuming to handle. On the horizon we saw it coming. Even though we steared clear of the horizon on many occasions the horizon moved closer, faster than expected this time.
We left the table with a sense of mutual respect, the brotherhood and friendship will live on.
Being labeled a Christian band we fought the preconceptions on many fronts and we feel fortunate to have gained friends all over the world, including all kinds of different world views excluding no one.
Our love and respect to all our friends who stood by us during the years, our families who took the downside of the business, all of you who bought the music, responded and comunicated back to us, we shared this journey that ends today.
We leave with the legacy of seven albums, there´s a lot to say about that but one must not linger in the past, tomorrow must not be bound by yesterdays, life will move on.
The future holds no promises other than that all is possible. Branching out from here, The redstone project, Grand stand and Nubian Rose, keep track of those and we will meet again.
Respectfully,
Torbjörn and Veni Domine
