Faut voir... et surtout être patient, Battleaxe devait déjà sortir un album "The Legions Unite" en 2010... Il n'a jamais vu le jour. Le groupe avait mis des démos en écoute sur leur site puis plus rien. Je viens de m’apercevoir qu'ils ont remis leur site en ligne...

The current line-up consists of the original members Dave King (vocals) and Brian Smith (bass) as well as Mick Percy (guitar) and Paul Atkinson (drums). The new album "Heavy Metal Sanctuary," that was mastered by Fred Purser (ex-Tygers Of Pan Tang), will be released in February 2014.

pas mal la pochette , ils ont gardé l'esprit de l'originale. La BBC Session va me faire acheter cette réédition.
Ils ont quand même pas mal de chance d'avoir été signés sur un gros label comme Steamhammer, vivement le nouvel album aussi, Burn this Town et Power from the Universe ont toujours été dans mes albums de chevet. Du bon heavy anglais sans fioritures.

J'ai reçu le promo, j'en dis pas plus mais c'est carrément une bonne surprise ! largement meilleur que leur 2ème album par exemple et du niveau du premier.

Je fais un peu tourner l'album ces derniers jours, il est pas mal, mais je ne le trouve pas non plus bon au point d'être agréablement 'surpris'.

Bon il y' a quand même des titres bien accrocheurs et quelques plans excellents !

Pour son 30ème anniversaire, leur 2ème album "Power from the Universe" va ressortir via SPV le 1er décembre :

Power From The Universe was digitally remastered and will come in a high class digipak includes four bonus tracks and a new extended booklet incl. liner notes, history special and track by track commentary.

Les 2 1ers sont terribles. Entre Judas Priest et Saxon. J'ai chopé la rééd du 1er, je choperai celle-là aussi.
