AVULSED split up after 23 years of pure dedication to Death Metal

It is with great sadness that we must announce the end of the AVULSED career after so many years. We know this caught you all by surprise, but some things happened during the last weeks inside the band and we couldn’t overcome with it. The main reason started with Erik Raya, a great drummer and a better person, but he didn’t really fit in the band’s dynamic, so we decided to fire him from AVULSED. Two of the members (Juancar & Cabra) weren’t happy with this solution and tired of having two drummer changes during the last three years, they finally decided to throw the towel and leaving for once and all. Tana, whose sentimental union to Cabra was always too strong, decided to leave as well, so this left Dave Rotten completely alone. For a moment, he wanted to keep AVULSED as a one-man band, but this would be too much work, so he will concentrate on his other musical projects from now on.

We want to thank all our countless fans around the world for being so loyal during all this time and you were the main reason for us to keep it going on through all these years. AVULSED was born as an untrendy Death Metal band and died as an untrendy Death Metal band. We did lots of friends during our way, so to you all… KEEP IT BRUTAL!!

AVULSED reforms just 6 hours after announcing split-up!!

Some bands reform just one, two or five years after they announce their split up in hopes of getting attention from fans and medias that never cared about them anymore. This is not our case!! We only needed to split for 6 hours to get the attention from all major festivals around the world coming to us with very interesting offers to participate on their festivals on a reunion show. In these 6 hours we got 37 festivals offering big money and amongst them they are Wacken (ger), Sonisphere-Download-Bloodstock (uk), Maryland Deathfest (usa), Rock Al Parque (col), Hellfest (fr), Loud Park (jap), Soundwave (au), Resurrection (esp), Heaven & Hell (mex)…

Also big labels like Nuclear Blast, Century Media, Metal Blade, immediately approached us regretting not giving a shit about us for all these years and wanted us to reunite and sign for them for some more albums and world tours… so after such an overwhelming response, we have decided to forget all our problems and get the band together in hopes of getting the glory and fame that we always deserved.

But of course this won’t be easy. We’ll have to change our image adopting a more modern and brutal look with Emo fashioned haircut style and tattoos up to our ears. In short, we must look like ONE DIRECTION, but with tattoos… let’s say like BRING ME THE HORIZON and such awesome bands like that. We might change our name into some meaningful 4-word monicker or something like that, writing mature lyrics and sounding more Metalcore to sound fit the current trends, we’ll see.
