Il est réédité en version CD/DVD, la partie CD étant complété du EP de 1992, et la partie DVD étant un documentaire de 40 minutes.
"Forest Of Equilibrium", the classic debut album from British doom metal legends CATHEDRAL, has been reissued on DualDisc and is out now in Europe.
"Forest Of Equilibrium" shocked the scene with its tortured sound upon its release in 1991. The reissue comes on a DualDisc, featuring the album — which has been remastered specially for this release — on one side, and a DVD on the other side.
The DVD side features a brand new 40-minute documentary titled "Return To The Forest", with key early band members, including longstanding core duo Lee Dorrian and Garry Jennings, discussing the formation of the band and the recording of the album, plus an interview with famed cover artist Dave Patchett. The album also includes four bonus songs from the long-deleted "Soul Sacrifice" EP, and all comes housed in a deluxe digipak with amazing artwork.

Bah, ce n'est pas étonnant de la part d'Earache ce genre de démarche, The Carnival Bizarre ayant déjà été réédité avec "Our god has landed" en DVD bonus - rien de nouveau sous le soleil donc. Le genre de repress qui sent quand même foutrement le fric. Mais bon.
Là au moins, ils ont eut la décence de sortir un truc nouveau. Par contre, j'entrave toujours aussi peu cet accent particulier. Autant, ça va à lire, mais à comprendre comme ça (plus quelques bières huhu) c'est tendu. Les gars de Maiden c'est pareil, on dirait du patois local enfin bref.
Ceci dit, si vous voulez une discographie métal sans faille, vous vous devez d'avoir cet album. Et quant à savoir si c'est un oldies, je sais pas,peut-être. Mais faut dire qu'il n'a pris aucune ride donc partant de là... Merci pour l'info en tout cas.
Mais je pense que la groupie que je suis va se le faire quand-même.
Le documentaire je m'en tape pas mal... L'album et le EP je les ai bien sûr depuis des lustres.
Aucun interêt pour moi donc, à part de refaire parler un peu de ce groupe génial qui est en stand by depuis un moment déjà. Ils font quelques fests cet été, c'est déjà ça...

"Where most demos are little more than a dry run for the first album, 'In Memoriam' still has its own distinct and important identity in the Cathedral canon. The debut LP that followed, 'Forest Of Equilibrium,' has a somber, devout, melodic and mystical grandeur all of its own - but 'In Memoriam' has a far murkier, earthier, more deathly intent. Creepy, cryptic and bowel-looseningly heavy, it represents the first time that the doom metal stylings of Trouble, Saint Vitus, Pentagram and Witchfinder General had been rendered in a new, more extreme metallic form.
