Swedish viking metal act Amon Amarth announced that long time drummer Fredrik Andersson has split with the band. The band is currently writing the follow up to the highly successful "Deceiver of the Gods" album and has not yet named his replacement.
The post on the band's Facebook page reads: "Amon Amarth and drummer Fredrik Andersson have decided to part ways after 17 years. Fredrik has been an important part of Amon Amarth’s development since he joined the band in 1998 and we wish him all the best for the future. We are currently in the process of writing the new album, but at the moment there is no replacement for him."

Le principal problème de Luke Cage, c'est l'acteur. Il a une bonne tête, mais dès que le plan est un peu large, on le voit, bras ballants, comme un culturiste qui attend le bus, et ça c'est mauvais.
le cogneur n'est plus celui de vomitory, il a juste fait l'album.
L'album je le trouve meilleur que le précédent et y a un très bon morceau avec doro qui chante dessus mais bon j'en parle pas il sort le 25 mars 2016 et ma chronique sera disponible bientôt.

Une belle surprise Amon Amarth est de retour aux affaires. Je trouve l'album presque excellent. Il y a tout ce qu j'aime : c'est épique, mélodique, puissant et pas surproduit. Un disque à la hauteur d'un twilight of the thunder god avec le côté accéssible d'un surtur rising.
L'album est sympa, mais d'une facilité et d'une prévisibilité déconcertantes... Et pourtant avec Amon Amarth, on sait toujours à l'avance plus ou moins à quoi s'attendre.

C'est bien là le problème de ce groupe depuis 10 ans !
Je l'ai écouté une fois et j'avais l'impression d'entendre le même morceau du début à la fin. Encore pire que les 2 opus précédents à ce niveau. on verra ce que donneront d'autres écoutes.. si j'ai le courage.

In a recent interview with EMP Rock Invasion, AMON AMARTH vocalist Johan Hegg stated about the departure of drummer Fredrik Andersson and AMON AMARTH's decision to enlist a session drummer, Tobias Gustafsson (VOMITORY, CUT UP), during the recording sessions for "Jomsviking": "Tobias was helping to write the album and record the album. We asked him to help us write and record the album, 'cause we didn't wanna go out and find a complete replacement, start working on a new album and then realize halfway through that, 'All right. This is not working out. We need to find someone else.' That wouldn't have been good at all. So we decided to work with someone we know really well. Tobias is an old friend and a great drummer. I mean, he's been playing for years in VOMITORY and now, obviously, he's in CUT UP. I think he contributed a lot to the end result of the album. I think it would not have turned out as great as it did without him."
AMON AMARTH's tenth studio album, "Jomsviking", debuted at No. 19 on The Billboard 200, having shifted 21,000 equivalent album units in the week ending March 31.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
In terms of pure album sales, "Jomsviking" opened with 20,000 copies.
