C'est un groupe américain qui a fait parler de lui dans les 80's pour ses aspects musicaux poussés à l'extrême... et que je trouve ridicules à titre personnel. :D
Ils se reforment avec un nouveau line-up "all star", autour de Michael Angelo Batio et Jim Gillette.
Victor Wooten will be the guest bass player on the forthcoming comeback album from the reformed NITRO, featuring guitar virtuoso Michael Angelo Batio, vocalist Jim Gillette and LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler.

A five-time Grammy Award winner and widely recognized as the greatest living bass player in the world, Wooten is also a resident scholar of performance at the prestigious Berklee College Of Music and has been running his own music retreat located near Nashville, Tennessee for eighteen years.

Says Wooten: "I'm so happy to be included as part of the new NITRO project. I've been a fan of Michael Angelo Batio for decades, [and] Jim Gillette and Chris Adler are just as amazing. They're causing me to have to step up my game. Fans will be thrilled to hear what we are coming up with, I'm really excited about it!"

Adler adds: "I have been in awe of Victor for many, many years. His musical gifts, which are second to none, are matched by his ability to inspire. I am giddy, humbled and amazed to have the chance to share music with, and learn from, him. Hearing him play music — or even speak about playing music for that matter — is truly a gift. Playing this material with him is mind blowing, listening to what he brings to this is game-changing."

Says Batio: "Victor is the best of the best! He is a legendary musician and the most amazing bass player I've ever heard. Beyond excited is an understatement. We can't wait for everyone to hear what we're coming up
with."

Gillette comments: "To have Victor on board is a dream come true. The caliber of musicianship is beyond anything the metal community has ever experienced. This takes the term 'supergroup' to a whole new level. The metal gods are definitely watching over us."

A release date for the new NITRO album, currently being recorded, will be announced soon. The band plans to debut a single from the new record, along with a promotional video, within the next two weeks.

Mon dieu... :D

Ça n'a plus rien à voir avec leur style d'origine, mais je crois que c'est encore pire :D

C'est (déjà) fini. Bon ok, on a rien raté.

----------

Guitar virtuoso Michael Angelo Batio has confirmed that the NITRO reunion has come to an end.

Back in November 2016, Batio and glass-shattering vocalist Jim Gillette announced that they had resurrected NITRO with LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler. It was later revealed that they were working on album with producer Kane Churko, who has previously collaborated with DISTURBED, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, IN THIS MOMENT, HELLYEAH and PAPA ROACH. In addition to producing the disc, Churko was said to be contributing his songwriting talents to the project.

In a brand new interview with "The Ultimate Guitars Shred Talks", Batio was asked about the status of NITRO's new LP. He responded (see video below): "It's gone. I'm best friends with Jim Gillette — we're like brothers. We never had an argument, even back in the old days. NITRO didn't break up [in the early 1990s] 'cause we got mad at each other. It was the grunge era. Young 'hair metal' bands, all of us, from L.A. were considered old-fashioned, and it was just timing. And then Jim went on to do fantastic in real estate, and I went on to continue my career. But we just can't go back. I love NITRO, I love that time, and I'm proud of it, but after we did a few songs [with Adler], we did a tour together, we all realized… But I'm gonna be doing a solo record based on some of those songs. It's coming out on Rat Pak Records later this year. It's slated in the fall release schedule. And I've got a couple of songs with Chris on there and [bassist] Victor Wooten."
