Le 2ème album sort au mois de mars :

Santa Cruz will release their second studio album, "Santa Cruz," on March 10th via Spinefarm Records. The self-titled album follows 2013's "Screaming for Adrenaline."

The riff-driven new album features the singles "We Are the Ones to Fall" and "Wasted & Wounded." The record is powered not only by sweat and booze, but by mind-boggling guitar skills manifested by these supremely talented young turks from Finland.

J'ai écouté 2 fois le titre My Remedy, et je trouve ça franchement pas terrible. Trop propret et aseptisé pour du glam. Niveau de guitare impressionnant, mais c'est pas un critère qui change grand chose pour moi. Je préfère retourner à mes albums de Faster Pussycat, Poison et LAGuns.

J'ai lancé le titre 'my remedy' mais j'ai du arrêter après deux minutes. Bouark, ça reprends les codes du glam mais en fait c'est plus la pop sucrée qu'autre chose, un pur produit aseptisé, l'inverse de ce que doit être le rock à mes yeux. Ca ferait passer Ratt pour Motorhead. Et le chanteur a vraiment une tete à claques accessoirement. Désolé pour ceux qui aiment mais ça m'horripile. (Je précise que j'aime le glam rock...quand c'est bien fait )

J'ai trouvé le second opus absolument terrible. Clairement pas du glam, ces touches pop-electro, qu'on retrouve dans le dernier HEAT, pour moi c'est un vrai rafraichissement plutôt que tous ces albums qui se suivent et se ressemblent. Ca en fait quelquechose de beaucoup plus rock, un peu ce que Europe aurait pu devenir finalement, moi perso j'adhère totalement.

Bon un peu déçu de ce troisième album. Même recette que le second, mais en moins inspiré, la sauce peine à prendre, vraiment dommage.

Je ne connais que celui ci , certes ça révolutionne pas grand chose malgré les sonorités modernes incorporées ici et là (qui peut encore révolutionner quoique ce soit dans un style qui existe depuis déjà 40 ans ??) mais c'est bien plait bien
J'irai jeter une oreille sur leur précédent du coup.

En tout cas merci à la Scandinavie (ok, la Finlande c'est pas vraiment la Scandinavie ??) pour être un des derniers endroits sur la planète à nous fournir ce genre des jeunes groupes à la Crazy Lixx, Crash Diet et autres HEAT ...

Le groupe vient d'imploser pendant sa tournée américaine, il semble qu'il ne reste que le chanteur :

Finnish rockers SANTA CRUZ appear to have imploded in the middle of their tour of the United States of America as the support act for FOZZY.

The quartet kicked off its first U.S. tour in support of the "Bad Blood Rising" album earlier in the month in Houston and was scheduled to perform two dozen shows alongside FOZZY, THROUGH FIRE and DARK SKY CHOIR. However, those plans have now been derailed, with SANTA CRUZ announcing over the weekend that it was canceling the remaining dates on the trek.

In an Instagram post explaining why the rest of the tour was called off, SANTA CRUZ frontman Arttu "Archie Cruz" Kuosmanen claimed that his bandmates — guitarist Joonas "Johnny Cruz" Parkkonen, bassist Mitja "Middy Cruz" Toivonen and drummer Tapani "Tazzy Cruz" Fagerström — kicked him "out of the bus on the street like a pariah" and told him they were no longer members of the group. "I would've loved to do [the rest of the tour], but what can you do," he wrote.

For his part, Parkkonen said that he, Toivonen and Fagerström were "leaving SANTA CRUZ" after facing "issues that they could not "solve even though we tried everything that we could to make this tour and band happen." He added: "I can't stay in a situation anymore where I have to be scared if somebody does irreversible harm to themselves or somebody else. That's why I'm leaving. I never thought I'd be in this situation, but I have no more options to use. I'm sorry."

In a separate social media post, Toivonen confirmed his exit from the band, saying that "it is impossible for me to continue as a member of SANTA CRUZ."

"Changing Of Seasons" provides the first taste of SANTA CRUZ's new album, which will be released in the fall.
