Pour les fans de Paul Speckmann et de death metal "culte", un 10ème album est en route pour l'année prochaine :

Legendary death metallers MASTER have completed recording their tenth full-length album, entitled "The Human Machine", for an early 2010 release via Pulverised Records.

Commented MASTER founder/frontman Paul Speckmann: "MASTER are in the studio mixing and mastering soon. Things are going very well at the moment. We hope to finish this in the next few days.

"I am very happy with the way things have turned out and it will be killer to finally have a CD released once again on a professional label such as Pulverised.

"Things look very good on the horizon, with Brazil and European tours coming soon."

Added Pulverised Records A&R manager Calvin: "Paul sent me two blistering tracks from the upcoming new MASTER album last night and I was absolutely blown away by how much authentic brutality that they still retain, coming from a band with an almost-30-year history. Nothing much has changed, and if [anything], this is probably more old-school, ferocious and even more death metal than their previous few efforts. It is exactly how fans of MASTER would imagine the new album to be, and no one will be disappointed!"

"The Human Machine" artwork is being created by Israeli artist Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, AGHORA, TO-MERA, GWAR, SICKENING HORROR).

In a recent interview with U.K.'s Terrorizer magazine, Speckmann stated about the forthcoming CD, "It will sound like MASTER always do: killer and aggressive. I suppose you'll have to wait and see. It will definitely be an original MASTER album. We never change for the trends as most of the successful scene does. MASTER still play the same original style we always has since the incarnation of the band in 1983. It certainly surprises me that many of the bands today jump on the current trends, and have success with this. For me there is nothing like the original bands."

Regarding the new CD title, Speckmann said, "People have become slaves to the greater machine called the government in every city of the world and it's a real pity to see this bullshit. Big Brother gets stronger with every waking moment and soon freedom for the masses will be a thing of the past as George Orwell predicted in 1984. Soon the masses will have a rebellion or it's finished."

MASTER will embark on a Brazilian tour in mid-January 2010, followed by two back-to-back European tours in support of the new CD.

Master et Collection of Souls restent leurs meilleurs albums, même si, personnellement, je trouve que, dans la durée, leur côté pionnier est éclipsé par la verve de Suffocation ou d'Immolation...

Album à entendre mais je ne m'attends pas à quelque chose d'inoubliable...

Les musiciens auraient tous lâché Speckmann...

Two days before the planned gig in Israel along with MISERY INDEX, American / Czech death metal band MASTER has decided to cancel its participation in the event.

Paul Speckmann, Master's mainman, commented: “I was the only original member in Master, while the other members were more like ‘hired guns’. At the last moment, today, they decided that they don’t want to perform anymore and they don’t really care about the band. I’m very sad to announce that in light of this situation, Master is dead until I find new band members.”

^^ Ça doit pas être la vie de château une tournée de Master... Il galère quand-même pas mal le père Speckman. Mais ban, il a pas non plus l'air de faire des efforts surhumains pour que ça se passe mieux.

Merci du conseil, je viens d'écouter l'album sur deezer et j'aime beaucoup. C'est marrant, je m'attendais à quelquechose de plus "roots" et de pas aussi technique.

Pochette bien death.

Death metal pioneers MASTER have inked a deal with Transcending Obscurity Records. The band's new album, "Vindictive Miscreant", will be released later in the year.

Transcending Obscurity Records label owner Kunal Choksi says: "It's truly a dream come true to work with a legendary band in MASTER. Paul Speckmann proved to be a man of rare integrity and signed the contract within two hours of bringing up the topic. Needless to say, I will be doing my utmost best not to let him down and do greater things for his band, now and in the future. This is a very fortuitous signing for the label and I couldn't be happier. Hard work does pay off, it seems, when there was little respite. Thanks to Rogga Johansson of PAGANIZER for highly recommending my label to the band. Here's hoping for a strong partnership with the legends MASTER."
