Robert Plant vient déjà de démentir l'info du journal The Sun
Alors que des milliers de fans de Led Zeppelin s'imaginaient déjà en
train de scander leur nom en 2009, Robert Plant dément aujourd'hui
dans un communiqué tout projet de reformation.
Vendredi dernier, le quotidien The Sun annonçait la volonté de Robert
Plant de reformer Led Zeppelin, refaire un album et une tournée. Ce
même Robert Plant vient aujourd'hui de démentir tout le package dans
un communiqué officiel, en soulignant qu'il en avait particulièrement
assez de toutes ces rumeurs de come-back et que l'unique chose à
laquelle il aspire à ce jour, c'est de terminer tranquillement sa
tournée avec sa complice Alison Krauss avec laquelle il a composé
Raising Sand, un album aux accents blugrass... En bon rabat-joie, il a
également rajouté qu'à partir de 2009, l'ambiance serait au repos et
ce pour au moins deux ans... « Toute cette histoire est aussi
irritante que ridicule. je ne comprends pas que l'on continue à nourrir
cette rumeur quand on sait que chacun d'entre nous, sommes
actuellement en train de travailler sur nos propres projets. Je
souhaite d'ailleurs beaucoup succès à Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones et
Jason Bonham ».

" TWISTED SISTER frontman Dee Snider, whose manager apparently also works with Robert Plant, has told MuchMoreMusic's Matt Wells that LED ZEPPELIN members Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonhman have tapped ALTER BRIDGE singer Myles R. Kennedy to sing with them on the road tour if Plant refuses to join them for the much-rumored ZEPPELIN reunion tour. "They're saying [to Robert], 'We're all rehearsed, we're ready to go, here's a gazillion dollars on the table," Snider told MuchMoreMusic. "If you don't do it, we're going out with this kid. And he can sing the shit out of ZEPPELIN.' And they're gonna, like, hope that Robert, at the last minute, will go, 'OK,' and step in, before having the lead singer of ALTER BRIDGE out with John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Jason Bonham."

Plant recently shot down reports that he has signed on to team up with LED ZEPPELIN for a reunion tour. In a message posted on his web site, the singer said that he had no road plans after his recent tour with Alison Krauss, which wrapped on October 5 in Saratoga, Florida.
The message read in part: "Robert has no intention whatsoever of touring with anyone for at least the next two years. Contrary to a spate of recent reports, Robert Plant will not be touring or recording with LED ZEPPELIN. Anyone buying tickets online to any such event will be buying bogus tickets."
Plant himself was quoted as saying, "It's both frustrating and ridiculous for this story to continue to rear its head when all the musicians that surround the story are keen to get on with their individual projects and move forward. I wish Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham nothing but success with any future projects."
Page, Jones and Bonham have reportedly been rehearsing with a series of other vocalists, including Kennedy. There has been no official announcement as to whether the band is planning to tour or record together without Plant's involvement.

Aucun intérêt si Robert Plant ne veut pas faire cette tournée, quel fan a envie de voir Led Zep avec un autre chanteur? A moins qu'ils prennent une très grosse pointure et renomment le truc en LED ZEPPELIN + GROSSE POINTURE

Moi je vois bien Led Zep au Stade de France... Ca pourrait être cool et ça serait plus simple pour avoir des places...(comme je viens de me faire piner pour AC/DC...

Et même l'album, il ne peut être que différent sans Robert
Va falloir suivre quand même pour voir ce que ca donne !

Reste à voir si cela se concrétisera au final par un album, avec ou sans Robert Plant toujours aux abonnés absents (toujours en tournée avec Alisson Krauss jusqu'en octobre)... On imagine tout de même mal ces trois là sortir un album instrumental ou pire avec un autre chanteur...

J'imagine qu'ils auront la lucidité de ne pas appeler ça LED ZEPPELIN, mais bon Plant peut encore changer d'avis et revenir.
