Barney, on aime ou on deteste. Il faut avouer qu'il a un style particulier sur scène qui peut en géner plus d'un. Moi je l'aime bien, il a toujours l'air complètement possédé et il donne le maximum de lui-même à chaque concert.

En tant que fan hardcore de Vader, je suis d'accord avec toi...
Je les ai découvert live en 1995, soit avec la formation composée, outre Peter au chant et à la guitare, de China à la deuxième gratte, Shambo à la basse et du regretté Doc derrière les futs...et c'est clair que cela avait de la gueule. C'est la raison pour laquelle j'ai été séduit par ce groupe d'ailleurs, groupe qui à l'époque formait un bloc, une machine de guerre imparable qui détruisait tout sur son passage.
Entre temps, des changements sont intervenus, China est parti pour laisser la place au fidèle Mauser, Shambo a été remplacé une première fois par Simon, le temps de l'album et de la tounée Revelations en 2002/2003, puis Novy. Enfin le Doc a du quitter son poste, Daray devenant le batteur "interimaire" puis officiel fin 2004 début 2005.Depuis, Vader nous a proposé de nombreux produits (CD/Mini CD/DVD) de qualités égales, mais qui n'atteindront malheureusement pas les De Profundis, Black To The Blind ou encore Litany.
Néanmoint, sur scène, c'est toujours aussi bon, quoique moins "evil", mais tu peux être sur que pour la prochaine tournée, je serais dans le public pour la énième fois, mais toujours avec autant de plaisir!
Quand au DVD, je l'ai déjà dit, mais je l'achète à sa sortie, obligé!

Polish death metal veterans VADER released their new DVD, "And Blood Was Shed In Warsaw", in Europe on Monday (October 15) via Metal Mind Productions. The group's third DVD, which has had its North American release date pushed back to November 20 via MVD, features footage from the band's February 12, 2007 concert at Stodola Club in Warsaw, documenting the final stop of the group's tour in support of their latest album, "Impressions in Blood". The show was filmed with seven cameras and includes a guest appearance by Orion, a member of two other great Polish metal acts: VESANIA and BEHEMOTH. The DVD also includes: a fully animated menu, band bio, discography, interview with frontman Peter, the brand new video clip "Sword of the Witcher" (taken from the forthcoming RPG game "The Witcher"), desktop images, photo gallery, weblinks, and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. "…And Blood Was Shed In Warsaw" DVD is also available in a special DVD+CD limited swing
case edition! The artwork and layout of the DVD was created by the Brazilian artist Marcelo HVC, who has previously worked with GORGOROTH, LORD BELIAL and NECROPHAGIA.

Départ de Novy, le groupe est à la recherche d'un nouveau bassiste:

After 5 years of working with VADER, our bassist Novy (true name Marcin Nowak) decided to part ways with the band! He made his decision right after recently finished European tournee. We would like to thank him for all those years of successful cooperation and just a great work he did for the band within the time. The band's members wish him all the best for the future!... Unfortunately, Marcin's decision of leaving the band was made not only after the finished tour in Europe, but also just before the upcoming (and very important) US tour Summer Slaughter Tour 2008 (when we appear alongside Black Dalhia Murder, Kataklysm, Cryptopsy and other bands).This is a very hard situation for the band but don't worry- we have already found a replacement - the session bassist for this tour will be Martin (ex- DECAPITATED). We are convinced that together with him VADER will be a killer! The session bass player for the shows planned for the rest of 2008 will be announced after the US tour. On August 3 VADER will appear on Polish Woodstock Festival. On August 30 the band will play a special anniversary show in Warsaw. In October panzerdivision under command of Peter will hit the road again, playing a tour through across Scandinavia and the Baltic States. (Mariusz Kmiołek - Massive Music Management).

Avec les tournées de malades qu'ils font et les sorties super rapprochées, il les use bien ses comparses, le père Piotr.

Polish death metal veterans VADER have teamed up with Hertz Polska for the production and promotion a new energy drink called "Vader". The band's anniversary gig in Warsaw on August 30 will be the first opportunity for the fans to enjoy the unique taste of this new drink.

Hertz Polska is going to extend its co-operation with VADER to promote this energy drink on the Polish market. More details will follow soon.

VADER's 25-year anniversary gig, which scheduled for August 30 at Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland, is officially sold out, according to a posting on the Polish band's web site.

VADER will play a two-hour-plus set, featuring songs from old demo tapes as well as the more popular tracks from the group's recent studio albums. The show will be filmed for an anniversary DVD, tentivately titled "XXV" (to be released in 2009). The band will prepare not only a special live set, but also a special stage design and other surprises.

La ça sent vraiment le paté, je viens de lire ça sur V.S:

Le batteur, Dariusz "Daray" Brzozowski, et le guitariste, Maurycy "Mauser" Stefanowicz, quittent VADER. Daray devrait rejoindre DIMMU BORGIR et Mauser devrait se consacrer à son projet UNSUN qui sortira son album "The End Of Life" le 22 septembre chez Century Media Records. Parmi les rumeurs, on annoncer l'arrivée du batteur de LOST SOUL, Adam Sierzega et de Jacek Hiro (SCEPTIC) ou Waclaw "Vogg" Kieltyka (DECAPITATED) à la guitare.

Et juste après le concert du 25ème anniversaire de Varsovie...
A mon avis, les gars doivent avoir envie de se poser un peu. Ils font plus de 200 concerts par an Vader, ça doit pas être facile tous les jours.

C'est dommage que ça parte un peu en vrille. Je ne connaissais ce groupe que de réputation, mais depuis que j'ai le dernier double album special 25ème anniversaire, je trouve cela vraiment terrible!

Apparemment il était déjà prévu qu'il y ait du ménage dans le line-up :

At this point we would like to refer to the changes that have occurred in VADER. As you all probably already know, Mauser [guitarist Maurycy Stefanowicz] and Daray [drummer Dariusz Brzozowski] are no longer in the band and this anniversary gig was their last show with VADER. We would say that mentally, they both were out of the band [for] a long time. They played with us more like session guys, without any real commitment and dedication. We were thinking about making some changes since a year or something, now we are glad to have this opportunity to build a new band.

"At the moment we are looking for some new musicians. Probably next week we are going to present you our new lineup.

Commented the band: "Last Sunday at Progresja Club, Warsaw, we had drummers audition. Earlier, actually just after the anniversary gig we had some talks with a few guitarists about possibilities of joining the band. And now we are ready to announce our new touring line up. The new drummer is 22-year-old Pawel Jaroszewicz from Lublin, who previously played in not-so-well-known act SOUL SNATCHER. He also did some session drumming for HELL-BORN and CRIONICS (watch him playing with SOUL SNATCHER below). We must admit the level for this audition was much higher than a few years ago, when we were looking for Doc's successor. We received many submissions from all over the world. However, we decided to focus on Polish drummers (due to lack of time, we have to prepare at least one-hour set for the upcoming shows, so we need a very good communication). Finally, we chose three drummers and checked their skills in such songs as 'Dark Age', 'Silent Empire', 'Carnal' or 'Sothis'. Pawel 'Paul' Jaroszewicz won the competition and he will appear with the band on the upcoming tours. Guitar player, the one who will replace Mauser is Waclaw Kieltyka, known more as Vogg from DECAPITATED! You know this guy and what he achieved with his band very well. Having him in VADER it's definitely a good thing. Try to imagine VADER on live with Vogg on second guitar, it's definitely going to be an unstoppable war machine! Both Paul and Vogg will play with VADER as session musicians. We still haven't decided who would join VADER as permament members. There are a variety of options available, both on drummer and guitarist vacancy. There's no hurry, we want to prepare everything very carefully. Time shall tell..."
