Très cool. Je vois qu'ils ont encore gardé en reserve d'autres reprises qu'ils avaient fait pour des tributes, ils veulent pas griller toutes leur cartouches.

Si c'est pas trop cher je l'acheterais cet EP, j'ai beaucoup aimé leur premier album. D'une fraicheur et d'une spontanéité qui manque beaucoup dans le heavy actuel, même le côté naïf m'a séduit.

Je vois que Karthago prépare une nouvelle fournée d'album, je me méfie des nouveaux groupes allemands qu'il dégotte, par contre parfois il réedite des perles de heavy teuton 80's.

Tiens je reviens sur cet EP... (acheté pas cher au Keep it true ).

Il est pas mal, mais pas totalement satisfaisant. Bon, en fait je pinaille juste parce que sur les deux nouveaux morceaux, il y a une ballade sirupeuse qui n'apporte pas grand-chose. Ok, elle joue bien du piano (en plus d'avoir une super voix et d'être intellectuellement intéressante) et c'est mignon, mais sinon c'est sans plus. Et le morceau rapide (The Anvil of Hate) est un poil en-dessous de ceux qui sont sur l'album. Alors que j'étais tout content à l'idée d'avoir du neuf !

Par contre, ce qui déchire, c'est la version polonaise de The Last Axeman. J'adore, à tel point que je regrette que tout l'album n'ait pas été en polonais. Ca ajoute encore de la spontanéité, c'est plus agressif, ça tue. Le refrain, particulièrement... Les langues slaves sont vraiment parfaites pour les sonorités métal.
Et puis les paroles en anglais ne sont pas vraiment le point fort du groupe. :p

Ah, et ce qui déchire aussi, c'est d'avoir l'enregistrement du concert du Swordbrothers, où j'avais découvert le groupe sans jamais l'avoir écouté (PAAAAF la claque => course au stand pour acheter l'album). Même si le son est très bootleg, ça fait un super souvenir, et y a même la reprise de Flaming Metal Systems avec Mutz !

Bon comme d'hab je suis a la bourre, je viens de decouvrir ce groupe ! Y'avait une colonnie de fans au Magic Circle Fetsival, ca a attiré mon attention !
Excellent en tout cas !

A complete live show of the Polish female fronted heavy metal band CRYSTAL VIPER has been posted online at the band's official MySpace profile at this location. You can view the videos below.

Crystal Viper co-headlined the first edition of the Hard Rocker Festival in Poland, together with bands such as OMEN, SACRED STEEL and OVERDRIVE. Their set-list included two brand new songs: 'Metal Nation' and 'Bringer Of The Light', taken from the band's forthcoming studio album Metal Nation. New album will be again produced by Bart Gabriel (SABBAT, METALUCIFER), but this time mixed by Andy La Rocque at the Sonic Train Studios in Sweden - the Grammy nominated guitarist of KING DIAMOND.

The new album will hit the streets in early 2009, and will be published by the German label Karthago Records.

Earlier, in November this year, another German label - High Roller Records - will release special limited vinyl edition of the last Crystal Viper mini album The Last Axeman. Release will be pressed in 500 copies (100 on blue vinyl and 400 on black vinyl), and will include 2 previously unreleased songs: new versions of 'Sleeping Swords' and 'Demons' Dagger', as well as the alternative (also previously unreleased) version of the VIRGIN STEELE cover song 'Blood And Gasoline', which Crystal Viper recorded last year together with the two original Virgin Steele members: David DeFeis and Josh Block.

Acheté hier The Last Axeman et je me surprends à le poser plusieurs fois sur la platine! Je possède The Curse of Crystal Viper depuis 1 an maintenant aussi mais il faudra que je me replonge dedans car j'avais trouvé ça moyen à l'époque. Faut dire que je suis d'humeur "heavy traditionnel" en ce moment; ça tombe bien je suis sur un forum fait pour! Au K.I.T l'an prochain ça va être intéressant, tant musicalement que visuellement!
