Les anciens comparses de Ian Gillan dans GILLAN continuent leur carrière de leur côté.
GUY-MCCOY-TORME (GMT) — which features in its ranks Irish guitarist Bernie Torme (GILLAN, OZZY OSBOURNE), along with his old compadre from GILLAN, bassist John McCoy (who has worked with Joey Belladonna, SAMSON, and the UK SUBS, among others) and drummer Robin Guy (whose credentials include FAITH NO MORE and BRUCE DICKINSON) — has set a November 17 release date for its sophomore album, titled "Evil Twin".

The CD is available for pre-order at this location.

GUY-MCCOY-TORME recently secured a deal with Koch Distribution for the U.S. release of "Evil Twin".

In a recent interview, Bernie Torme stated the songwriting process for "Evil Twin", "It's going great! I haven't any really stand-out favorites yet because I try to avoid it, to be honest, up until the point of the mixes because at that point it becomes… working on tracks that you're not keen on becomes very difficult. I try to kind of hold judgement on that, and any tracks that I'm consciously not that keen on I try to work harder on to try and make them good. Because, you know, in terms of the 'Bitter & Twisted' album, the two tracks we had an enormous amount of problems on was the title track and 'Miss the Buzz'. Now both of those tracks turned out rather well, but I think if you'd have asked either John or me about them before completion we'd have gone, 'Oh dear…' It's hard to tell. It's sort of like having children; you try and treat them all with an even hand."

GUY-MCCOY-TORME in July released a picture-disc version of its new EP, entitled "Punko Rocco". The EP features two brand new tracks — "Punko Rocco" and "Wheel Of Fortune" — plus a live version of "Wild West".

Bernie Tormé sort un album solo, accompagné d'un CD acoustique et d'un live :
Following the success of his two recent crowd-funded albums, 2014's "Flowers & Dirt" and 2015's "Blackheart", former GILLAN guitarist Bernie Tormé has announced plans for a new album. "Dublin Cowboy" will be a triple album comprising a studio CD, an acoustic CD and a live CD. The album is scheduled for release in March 2017 and, again, fans are being asked to support the production and release of the album via a pledge-funding appeal.

The success of Tormé's two recent solo albums heralded the start of a real career renaissance for the guitarist. Both albums were assisted by highly successful pledge-funding campaigns that helped reconnect Bernie with long-standing fans as well as bringing new ones. "Dublin Cowboy" continues that renaissance.

Says Tormé: "When I made the last two albums, 'Flowers & Dirt' and 'Blackheart', I really loved the fact that I was able to be hands-on and communicate directly to fans. As an independent musician, that was a really positive experience — so much better than the past when the cold, dead, (and also pretty judgmental) hand of the corporate music industry (in the shape of a record company) laid over everything you tried to do. It was also really great being able to go out and tour 'Flowers & Dirt' and 'Blackheart'; we would not have been able to do that without getting a new album out through PledgeMusic and the crowdfunding process.

"We will be going out to tour 'Dublin Cowboy' in April 2017, after its release, and you can jam with us or just hang out: I can't wait to go out and tour the stuff we've been working on!

"The new triple album is called 'Dublin Cowboy', basically, because I am from Dublin! Not sure about the 'Cowboy' bit! I really wanted to do a 'big' album that gave me a chance to do lots of things that I had not done before, like the acoustic album. Doing an acoustic album really is a first for me, and I find that really exciting and a challenge; I've got some great really cosmic stuff planned for it!

"The studio album and the live album will rock big-time. Lots of exciting new stuff planned for the studio album too!"

Due on April 7 via Retrowrek Records, "Dublin Cowboy" is the new three-disc album from former GILLAN guitar legend Bernie Tormé, comprising a studio disc, an acoustic disc and a live live disc.

Says Bernie: "I always wanted to do a triple album and also an acoustic album, and combining the two seemed like the obvious idea, though truth is it nearly killed me: I'm still in recovery! But on top of all that, and with two albums of screaming wails and dive-bombs, I am totally knocked out with how the shred-free acoustic album has been received! Fans who pledged and have heard it absolutely LOVE it! Quadruple album next time? Nah, I really don't think so!"

"Dublin Cowboy" was made following a phenomenally successful pledge-fund appeal that hit its pledge target in less than nine hours. Containing twenty-nine tracks in total across the three discs, the first two are made up of brand new material, including title track, "Dublin Cowboy", and the infectiously bluesy "Power Of The Blues" on Disc 1; as well as the rich unfolding tapestry of sounds on "Shine" and "Wolfgirl", which both appear on the acoustic disc. The third disc, recorded live in South Shields in January 2016, contains live versions of classics that span Bernie Tormé's career, including old favorites "Wild West" and "New Orleans".

The album is available for purchase in CD, vinyl and digital download formats via PledgeMusic.com.

To tie in with the release of the album, there is a 2017 U.K. tour next month and the album will be formally launched at the Borderline, London on April 7. Bernie says: "Got a bunch of rock 'n' roll pint-spillers from the new 'Dublin Cowboy' album that we will be rocking out live on the tour! I can't wait, get ready people, this one will be total killer!"
