MELECHESH est en cours de composition de son nouvel album qui succédera à 'Emissaries' et qui sera leur première sortie chez Nuclear Blast Records. Par ailleurs le second album de MELECHESH 'Djinn' sortira en version remasterisée en double digipack. Le cd bonus comportera des titres en versions demo

Le futur album de MELECHESH (Black/Death - Israël) s'intitulera "The Epigenesis". Il sortira le 1er octobre via Nuclear Blast. La tracklist : 01. Ghouls Of Nineveh 02. Grand Gathas Of Baal Sin 03. Un peu moins bon que le "Emissaries", et davantage porté sur les ambiances orientales, ça n'en reste pas moins un album une nouvelle fois unique pour le groupe !

On retrouve un certain Ralph Santolla à la guitare, du moins sur scène :

Sumerian thrashing metal pioneers MELECHESH will embark on a North American headlining tour later this month, with support from VREID, LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH and REIGN OF LIES. Ralph Santolla (DEATH, DEICIDE, OBITUARY, ICED EARTH) will be filling the second-guitarist slot in MELECHESH for the trek, which will include the band's first-ever appearance in Mexico.

Commented Ralph: "I'm psyched to be doing the MELECHESH tour. We've been talking about it for a while , and this was the perfect time. [MELECHESH mainman] Ashmedi and I are good friends, and I love the music. Looking forward to seeing all of my friends in Mexico, the U.S. and Canada soon!"

Added Ashmedi: "We are looking forward to touring North America and this time as headliners. The crowd made us feel very welcome on previous occasions. It will be a great tour with special and talented guests playing with us. Naturally, this time we will have the chance to extend our live set, offering Sumerian sonic magick. Last but not least, it will be our first time playing Mexico; about time! Having Ralph on board will positively add to the MELECHESH dynamics; he is a very talented guitar player."

Le groupe travaille sur son 6ème album et a recruté un nouveau batteur :

Mesopotamian kings of blackened thrash metal, MELECHESH, have announced the addition of drummer Sasha "Sin“ Horn.

Commented mainman, songwriter, singer and guitarist Ashmedi: "After a lengthy search Melechesh are proud to announce the inclusion of new drummer Sasha “Sin” Horn. Sin as in the Mesopotamian moon god. He will be appearing on the upcoming album which we will follow up with more details. Meanwhile he flew in from the USA to our rehearsal room in Germany to work with the band on new material and meet the label guys and the chemistry was great. His drumming skills will sure bring in an extra kick to the new album."

Since there were rumors and uncertainties of the current second guitarist of Melechesh, the pioneering band clarified the situation in the following statement: "After one show it became obvious things wouldn't work out with Sirus, so we mutually agreed to go separate ways. For now the position is not vacant until a great talent crosses our ways. Ashmedi will track guitars and former guitarist and long time friend Moloch might be flying to the studio for recordings but not touring as well. We have two great touring guitarist who are friends of ours and will step in as live session musicians.“

Melechesh are currently writing new material for their upcoming sixth album.

Mesopotamian black/thrash pioneers MELECHESH will release their new album, "Enki", on February 10 (one day earlier internationally) via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2010's "The Epigenesis" will feature the following track listing:

Almost all of the music and lyrics was again written and produced by MELECHESH mainman Ashmedi.

MELECHESH spent one month in its rehearsal room in Hinzweiler, Germany preparing the material before entering the recording studio in Athens, Greece. The band wanted a Mediterranean place to capture the essence of the band’s origins.

De bonnes choses encore mais parfois cela ne décolle pas vraiment et l'ennui n'est jamais loin.
C'est toujours très travaillé en terme d'arrangements et d'ambiances même si par exemple "Doorways To Irkala" est bien trop longue. 1'30 pour servir d'interlude aurait été bien suffisant au lieu de 8 (!) minutes.

Plus de folie et d'agressivité, moins de mid-tempos un peu bateau et c'était du tout bon.

Je vais encore le faire tourner parce que il y a certains passages qui sont quand même top ("The Outsiders" en clôture

).
