Long-running German metallers PARADOX will release their fifth album, "Riot Squad", on October 26, 2009 via AFM Records. Songtitles set to appear on the the follow-up to last year's "Electrify" include:

Long-running German metal band PARADOX has parted ways with guitarist Kai Pasemann and drummer Roland Jahoda (drums). The group states, "We had no choice, because we found out we have a different view on how to reach our goals."

Le nouveau guitariste n'est autre que celui de Biomechanical, qui sort par ailleurs un album solo instrumental :

Long-running German metal band PARADOX has announced the addition of BIOMECHANICAL guitarist Gus Drax to the group's ranks.

Drax (pictured below) was born in Larissa, Greece on September 21, 1987. He decided to play guitar at the age of 14 when he saw "Live in Tokyo" by DREAM THEATER and was amazed by John Petrucci. He started practicing for 6-12 hours a day. At the age of 19, his talent was noticed by John K, the vocalist/band leader of the U.K. progressive metal band BIOMECHANICAL. John suggested him to join the band and in August 2007 Gus became the new guitarist of BIOMECHANICAL.

Gus will release his first instrumental solo album in 2010 called "In Search Of Perfection", featuring guest appearances by Bob Katsionis (FIREWIND, OUTLOUD) and Steve Smyth (FORBIDDEN, ex-NEVERMORE, TESTAMENT). Heis also writing material for a new band he recently formed.

Spinal Tap chez Paradox : leur batteur revient 2 semaines après avoir été viré.

Long-running German metal band PARADOX has been rejoined by drummer Roland Jahoda.

The group's current lineup is as follows:

Charly Stenhauer (vocals, guitar)
Gus Drax (guitar)
Olly Keller (bass)
Roland Jahoda (drums)

PARADOX's new lineup will make its live debut on March 26 at Turock in Essen, Germany.

Sinon cet album est bien sympa, et comporte son lot de bons titres.

Ressorti aujourd'hui. Je l'avais pas bien écouté. En fait, il poutre grave!
Certains titres sont plus direct que d'autres et c'est ceux là qui m'avaient plu lors des premières écoutes, mais après me l'être repassé deux fois là, je me suis rendu compte que je n'avais pas asez creusé.
Je pense que le "Ironbound" d'OVERKILL a joué grandement dans la redécouverte de cet album. (d'ailleurs tous ceux qui ont aimé le Overkill peuvent se jeter sur celui là)
Je l'ai écouté avec plus d'intérêt et plusieurs compos que je trouvais un poil trop bourrin, ou trop facile dans les rythmiques m'ont sauté à la gueule là. Comme quoi, il ne suffit pas d'écouter un album, encore faut il être en condition de lui laisser sa chance.

Seul reproche : la prod' trop propre, trop lisse, surtout au niveau des guitares qui sonnent plus gros son death actuel que vieux thrash. Dommage pour cela. Mais vraiment, j'ai redécouvert les compos sous un autre jour. Bien meilleur qu'après mes premières écoutes.

Le groupe annule toutes ses futures activités scéniques, sans préciser la raison, mais ça a peut-être un lien avec la maladie de Charly Steinhauer.
Et il parle de "one more record", comme si ça allait être le dernier...

Nouveau changement de line-up, ça n'arrête pas, les frères Holzwarth (Sieges Even) reviennent dans le groupe :

Drummer Alex Holzwarth and bassist Oliver Holzwarth (Alex's brother) have rejoined PARADOX, the long-running German metal band led by Charly Steinhauer. The group is currently working on material for a new album, tentatively due in 2012 via AFM Records. According to a press release, the new record will be a conceptual effort that will be tied to the heresy story featured the PARADOX's eponymous and most commercially successful 1989 album "Heresy".

Steinhauer and the brothers Holzwarth previously collaborated on the PARADOX classic entitled "Collision Course" in 2000.

Greek guitarist Gus Drax has left long-running German metallers PARADOX "due to personal reasons."

Drax will focus on his SUNBURST project, which also features vocalist Vasilis Georgiou (INNOSENSE, BLACK FATE), drummer Kostas Milonas (BLACKLEGS, N.U.R.V., G.K GROUP) and bassist Vasilis Liakos (INNOSENSE, BLACK FATE).
