The members of the world's greatest band, STEEL PANTHER, sat down with Glitter "Patches" Wadsworth in an exclusive interview to talk about all of its secrets. They discuss everything from their live shows to their new album to their STDs. Watch the chat below.
STEEL PANTHER's debut album, "Feel The Steel", was released on June 9 via Universal/Republic.
This mythical musical masterpiece has been 20 years in the making with the band retuning in 2009 to reclaim their rightful place among metal music's heavyweights. Powered by audacious frontman Michael Starr's (real name Ralph Saenz; ex-L.A. GUNS) fearless vocal charge, the group ignites audiences from every walk of life with their unbridled valentine that goes right for the jugular of the heavy metal repertoire. Joining the effervescent Starr are STEEL PANTHER's Stix Zadinia on drums, Satchel (real name Russ Parrish; ex-FIGHT) on guitar, and bassist Lexxi Foxxx.
As word of STEEL PANTHER's return began to spread around the music community, a who's who of musical artists stepped up to join the band in reclaiming metals place among the top of the music landscape. Allison Robertson of THE DONNAS and Justin Hawkins from THE DARKNESS make an appearance on the STEEL PANTHER mantra number, "Party All Day". ANTHRAX's Scott Ian shows up on the soon-to-be international hit "Asian Hooker" alongside SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor, who also appears on the soon-to-be classics "Eyes Of A Panther" and the first single, "Death To All But Metal".
The four-member band, known for its outrageous stage presence and gargantuan guitar riffs, has been entertaining fans and scores of rock and entertainment VIPs with its raucous antics via L.A.'s longest-running heavy metal show on the Sunset Strip for nearly a decade (now running at the infamous Key Club every Monday night). The band also holds residencies at the Green Valley Resort and Casino on Friday and Saturday in Las Vegas and the Typhoon Saloon in San Diego every Wednesday.

Comedy Central Orders Up Pilot for Steel Panther Reality Show
Eighties glam metal revivalists/homage payers Steel Panther have won the hearts of metal fans who grew up in that decade but have also faced a bit of flak from metalheads for being a bit too over the top in their delivery. Well, this ain’t going to help — the band are going to be the focus of a new reality television show.
Tentatively titled Steel Panther, the program is a “loosely scripted” “docu-reality show” (which means it’s about as real as The Osbournes was) that follows the band members as they attempt to bring back heavy metal, reports Blabbermouth. A pilot of the show was ordered by Comedy Central for their 2010-2011 development slate.
The show is being created by heavy metal funnyman Brian Posehn and Jackass director Jeff Tremaine; combine those credentials with the band’s hysterical approach to what they do, and it does sound like a recipe for some laughs.
Let’s hope the pilot is a success and the show rolls along into production and gives metalheads another reason to like TV again. It should also help quell any anti-Steel Panther sentiment out there by showing that the band are a bunch of harmless fun-loving goofballs who do have a genuine love of metal.
Steel Panther have among their ranks ex-L.A. Guns and Fight members, and released their debut album, Feel the Steel, last year.

Prochain album en octobre, toutes couilles à l'air. Ouaip, c'est le titre.
The outrageous and popular '80s-style "hair" band STEEL PANTHER will release its new album, "Balls Out", on October 18. The CD's first single will be "If You Really, Really Love Me". Video footage of STEEL PANTHER vocalist Michael Starr (real name Ralph Saenz; ex-L.A. GUNS) and guitarist (real name Russ Parrish; ex-FIGHT) working on the song at TRS West Studios in Los Angeles can be seen below.
In a May 2011 interview with Guitar International, Satchel stated about the recording process for "Balls Out", "We've been recording since last August and we've been tracking five songs at a time so we focus intently on a few songs rather than all 15 at once. We're just finishing up the last five now and they all sound amazing. I would say that out of the 15 songs we've recorded, there are at least 10 or 12 No. 1 singles in there."
When asked what lessons STEEL PANTHER learned from its 2009 debut, "Feel The Steel", that he and his bandmates applied to this new album, Satchel said, "It's funny because we haven't learned any lessons from our first record. We don't even think of it as our sophomore album, we think of it as our second debut release. Many bands will try to make a different-sounding record for their second release, but we couldn't really get any better than our first record. Our first record was awesome, so we decided to go in and make the same record for our second album, just better. We didn't really grow as writers. We didn't grow as musicians. In fact, I think I got a little bit worse . . . But because of that it's much better. It's kind of like a fine wine. If you let it sit there and let it get moldy, that's what they do with wine, right? Then you let the mold fester in the bottom of the bottle, that's what our music is like on this record. We're like a moldy cheese that's been left out in the sun all summer. You wouldn't think that it would taste good at the end of the summer, but surprisingly, it does. That's us in a nutshell."
