Allen/Lande - The Showdown

Jorn Lande (MASTERPLAN, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) and Russell Allen (SYMPHONY X) have completed work on the third ALLEN / LANDE collaborative album for a September release via Frontiers Records. Entitled "The Showdown", the CD was mixed by Achim Köhler (PRIMAL FEAR, SINNER, SILENT FORCE) and once again features material written by Swedish guitar sensation Magnus Karlsson (PRIMAL FEAR, STARBREAKER, LAST TRIBE).

According to a press release, "The Showdown" "shows again that the musical direction will be epic, grandiose and very melodic hard-rocking music. The cover art was designed specifically for the project once again by the amazing Rodney Matthews."

A video for the song "Judgement Day" was shot in Scandinavia in April under the direction of Thomas Tjader (SAINT DEAMON, ISSA). Watch a trailer for the clip below.

Yeah ! les deux premiers albums sont merveilleux (les 2 seuls qui n'ont jamais quittés mon ipod depuis 2 ans) , vivement la nouvelle sortie !

j'aime vraiment bien ces 2 chanteurs (surtout Jorn), et c'était plutôt pas mal foutu les 2 "battlle".

Je suis en train de découvrir , j'ai recu hier les 2 albums.
J'écoute le premier en ce moment.
Je trouve ça bien foutu, mais c'est quand même un peu chiant au bout d'un moment.
Clair que ca joue, ca chante, mais au niveau des compos j'ai un peu l'impression d'écouter 10 fois la même chanson.

Tu es un peu sévère quand même! Les albums sont assez variés et les titres bien disctincts; disons que c'est au niveau des titres les plus faiblards (disons 2-3 par album et souvent ceux chantés par Allen) que l'on peut ressentir cette impression de redondance et de banalité. Pour le reste, ça envoie!
