Metal on Metal Records has announced the signing of German metal act Doomshine. The band's second full-length album "The Piper at the Gates of Doom" was released in 2010 by Massacre Records.
Songs have now been composed for a third, currently untitled, album and the band is focusing on writing the lyrics and preparing to start recording in the spring. Timmy Holz, the band's vocalist and guitarist, said:
"Several years after our first contact with Jowita we are unbelievably happy about our future cooperation with Metal on Metal Records. Finally we were sealing the deal by handshake at Malta Doom Metal Festival last autumn. Today we know for sure: the spoken word is sufficient. THAT is Metal! This year we are focusing on the recordings of our third album which will see the light of day in 2015. Seven songs, massive and melodic, doom and shine. We are very curious to witness the evolution of our new creations, and we're looking forward to see this new Doomshine CD labelled with the Metal on Metal Records logo. Shine on!!!"
Jowita Kaminska-Peruzzi, Metal on Metal Records CEO, added: "We are really stoked about it, as we've been big fans of Doomshine ever since we got their amazing debut from 2004 'Thy Kingdom Come.' The wait for their second album was very long but worth it: in 2010 Massacre Records released 'The Piper at the Gates of Doom' and we could indulge again in their wonderfully epic and compelling songs, most often compared to Solitude Aeternus and Candlemass.
"Still before the release of their album we had the chance to see them in Germany at Doom Shall Rise VII where they were definitely one of the highlights of this 2-day festival. It took three years until we saw them again, this time at the 6th edition of Malta Doom Metal festival in October last year, and yet again we were reminded what a great live act they are."
Doomshine's third album "The End Is Worth Waiting For" will be released on August 31, 2015 via Metal On Metal Records. A promo clip featuring music from the album is available below, and the full "The End Is Worth Waiting For" track listing is as follows:
