After 30 years of making records and touring in support of those records, Jourgensen felt the time was right to open up "Buck Satan's" vault and share his personal relics with the legions of loyal fans around world. "I have one more album in me — my BUCK SATAN project, which I am working on now with Rick Nielsen (CHEAP TRICK), Tony Campos (STATIC-X), Mike Scaccia (RIGOR MORTIS) and Dave Lombardo (SLAYER) and then I want to take a long break and rest for a while," explained Jourgensen to van Gool at Jourgensen's 13th Planet compound in El Paso.

MINISTRY mainman Al Jourgensen has launched a new project called SURGICAL METH MACHINE with longtime engineer Sam D'Ambruoso.
"We decided to cut out the middle men," Jourgensen told "The Metal Hammer Magazine Show ". "Me and him are doing this music that's just eyeball-popping. There's nothing under 220pbm on there. It's not for the faint of heart."
According to Jourgensen, the material on SURGICAL METH MACHINE's debut album will be similar to the song "Side F/X Include Mikey's Middle Finger (TV4)", which appeared on MINISTRY's last studio album, "From Beer To Eternity", released one year following the death of MINISTRY guitarist and Al's close friend Mike Scaccia in 2012.
"'Mikey's Middle Finger' is one of the last things Mike did before he died," Al said. "Imagine a whole album of that — this is what we're going for now. Straight mayhem."
He added: "People are probably going to dismiss it as craziness — and that's good. Craziness develops a future in music. You need the crazy."
MINISTRY is currently touring Australia as part of the Soundwave festival, and there are a number of other live shows confirmed in the coming months.
Jourgensen told "The Metal Hammer Magazine Show": "We're going to do one last tour as MINISTRY, maybe even another tour, because people seem to want to see it. [But] as far as future studio releases, since Mikey's death, I decided it's not the same. It would be like [LED] ZEPPELIN playing without [John] Bonham or THE WHO playing without [Keith] Moon or something like that. Me playing without Mikey doesn't seem right."
Ministry's mainman Al Jourgensen has a new project called Surgical Meth Machine. The band has inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records for their self-titled debut album. The record, which was recorded primarily at Jourgensen's home studio in Burbank, California with his longtime engineer Sam D'Ambruoso, will be released on April 15th worldwide. There is still no music available but the album cover and tracklist have been revealed.
He said: "Hello folks, thanks to Nuclear Blast the long awaited Surgical Meth Machine album is finally coming. Now quit your bitching, go spark a fatty, and listen to the record! You won't regret it. I'm Al Jourgensen and I approve this message."
According to Jourgensen, the sound of Surgical Meth Machine's debut release leans heavily on the aggressive side, but fans can also expect to hear a few surprises. "There's a couple of real poppy things on there, which brings me full circle, because, literally, I don't give a fuck anymore," he said. "So I'm actually almost acknowledging that first horrible pop record I did in 1983. I'm crooning on some songs, I've got some pop songs on there, and then there's just brutal assault for the rest of it. It's a very dichotomous record, but it's me, and I'm acknowledging everything that's been me through, like, the last 35 years. Let's just throw my balls on the table and hope somebody doesn't have a meat cleaver running."
As far as the future of Ministry, Jourgensen has said in recent interviews that there will be no more Ministry albums, making 2013's From Beer To Eternity the band's swan song following Scaccia's death.
