Ce groupe est vraiment yeah!!! et inclassable. J'en écoute pas tous les jours, mais j'ai un immense respect. Et sur scène, c'est du lourd!
J'adore le côté 70s de leur zic en fait!

"Sever The Wicked Hand", the new album from New Orleans sludge metal legends CROWBAR, will be released in Europe on February 14, 2011 via Century Media Records. The CD will be made available in the U.S. on February 8, 2011 through E1 Music.

A pre-order is now available on iTunes along with audio samples.

In other news, CROWBAR guitarist/vocalist Kirk Windstein will host this week's episode of MTV2's "Headbangers Ball" tonight (Monday, February 7) at 3 a.m. ET/PT (technically Tuesday morning). He will play the following videos during his appearance on the program:

CROWBAR's "The Cemetery Angels" video was filmed on December 5 in New York City with director Dale "Rage" Resteghini.

Resteghini has directed over 550 music videos since 2003, including clips for such metal bands as MUDVAYNE, HATEBREED, ANTHRAX and SHADOWS FALL. Rage has also helmed videos for some of the biggest names in the hip hop world, including Lil Wayne, Diddy, Snoop Dog and Ice Cube.

Windstein aurait quitté Down...

Guitarist Kirk Windstein appears to have exited DOWN in order to focus "100%" on his other band, CROWBAR. Windstein is not taking part in the songwriting sessions for the next DOWN EP and is being replaced in that band by longtime DOWN stage manager and HONKY founding guitarist Bobby Landgraf.

Writing on Facebook, Windstein said: "For months now, I have been posting that I am concentrating on CROWBAR 100% FULL TIME…

"2014 marks the 25th anniversary of CROWBAR and it's a great feeling to put my heart and soul into something that I created so long ago.

"We are entering the studio on December 16 to record our 10th full-length record. Look for a late spring release on eOne.

"See y'all on the road with CROWBAR!!!"

Added Landgraf in a separate posting: "Feeling very lucky to have this gig with DOWN. It wouldn't be the same without Kirk Windstein's blessing. He is Riff Lord and the new CROWBAR will be amazing."

10ème album pour le groupe, qui fête son 25ème anniversaire :

New Orleans riff lords CROWBAR will release an all new full-length album, Symmetry In Black, on May 26th via Century Media Records in Europe and May 27th via eOne Records in North America.

Founding vocalist & guitarist Kirk Windstein provides the following comment: "We are so proud and excited about what we have accomplished with this record! The focus, determination and attitude in the band is at an all time high. We are 100% ready to get this Juggernaut rolling and never touch the breaks again. Crowbar will not be stopped!"

Symmetry In Black"was produced by Kirk Windstein and Duane Simoneaux and was mixed by Josh Wilbur. The new effort will be the latest material from Crowbar since Sever The Wicked Hand was released in 2011. The new effort will be the tenth studio LP, and also marks the 25th anniversary of the inception of Crowbar.

Windstein continues: "Crowbar is my heart and soul. The music is a part of me that I am extremely proud of. It's an amazing feeling to be putting all of my energy and focus into something that I created 25 years ago! We are extremely excited to release our 10th full length and to bring the riffs to as many people as possible on tour. See you on the road!"

Je me repasse "Severed The Wicked Hand" là et il est vraiment excellent ce disque. Peut- être un de leurs meilleurs de leur carrière.

J'avais beaucoup aimé "Sever the Wicked Hand", là ce dernier rien n'a vraiment changé dans le style, mais je le trouve quand même plus mou et moins "catchy" que son prédécesseur...

vraiment pas terrible cet album. J'ai dû l'ecouter 2-3 fois max avant de le ranger.

La suite arriverait déjà cette année :

New Orleans sludge metal veterans CROWBAR will enter OCD Recording And Production in Metairie, Louisiana with engineer/producer Duane Simoneaux on February 17 to begin recording the follow-up to 2014's "Symmetry In Black" album. A summer release is expected.

Changement de bassiste. Jeff Golden quitte le groupe (ou a ete vire). Todd Strange, le bassiste du groupe qui a joue sur la majorite des albums cultes du groupe dans les 90s est de retour!

L'album :

Shortly after unveiling the first details regarding their new album, The Serpent Only Lies, Crowbar share the first sludge blast off the release. "Falling While Rising" is the name of the new single which you can listen to as much as you want here now. It's heavy! The band's new album is due out on October 28th, 2016 through Entertainment One (eOne) in North America and via SPV overseas.
