One of the most frequent questions we have received during the last couple of years have been; “when the hell are you guys going to release a live DVD”!?. Well, you’re request have been heard. We are currently hard at work on putting together not only one DVD, but TWO double DVD’s!!!

The first out of the two double DVD’s is planned to hit the stores on Jun 18:th through Regain Records.

Je suppose que c'est un dvd live..

Je me demande ce que sa rend un tel groupe sur scène..

Bin d'apres ce que j'avais lu : DF en live ça peut être excellent comme nul ....a voir.

Je les ai vu en concert en 1999 à Toulouse avec DIMMU BORGIR, DODHEIMSGARD et EVENFALL. C'était un chouette concert. J'avais bien apprécié la performance de DARK FUNERAL. Pour info, Il crache du feu sur scène.
Un DVD ça peut le faire. Leur album live était une merde, mais avec des images ça passera peut-être mieux.

je les ai vu au gibus (96) au club dunois (97 ou 98) et pour le no mercy en 2001, c'était pas trop mal nettement mieux que Marduk en tout cas

Les Suédois de Dark Funeral vont sortir leur prochain album We Are The Apocalypse en mars chez Century Media, toujours avec une belle pochette bleue similaire à celle du précédent album Where Shadows Forever Reign (2016)



Un extrait, qui me semble plus calme que ce que j'ai pu écouter en décembre dernier où je me suis repassé du Diabolis Interium et Vobiscum Sathanas :

Guitarist and band founder Lord Ahriman states, “It is with great pleasure that we can hereby offer you a first taste of our upcoming album ‘We Are The Apocalypse’ with the track ‘Let The Devil In’. It may be a slightly different song from us, but it still holds the true darkness and spirit that is Dark Funeral. Mes derniers souvenirs du groupe, qui remontent à il y a fort longtemps, étaient bien plus bruitistes que ça. Pas mal.

C'est un peu dans la veine du dernier qui était bien sympathique... moi ce qui me choque c'est de voir des clips de ces quinquas grimés comme il y a 30 ans, en fait je suis pas sûr d'avoir vraiment envie d'avoir découvert ce genre de groupe via youtube, une simple pochette et deux, trois photos un peu brumeuse c'était quand même plus intriguant (je pense aussi au clip de Mystic Circle)

Tu veux dire que les techniques de maquillage ne progressent pas aussi vite que les autres technologies?

Attendez avant de vous moquez sur le maquillage. Abbath aussi sort un album en 2022

C'est pas tant le maquillage qui me perturbe, plutôt que ce genre de musique soit mis en clip en fait, en plus ce genre de videos se ressemblent un peu toutes. Je préférais le côté évocatoire de la musique avec une simple pochette et deux,trois photos... le videoclip casse un peu le truc et je trouve pas que ça soit vraiment compatible avec youtube et les temps modernes. M'enfin ce n'est que mon avis.

Enfin bon dans le cas de Dark Funeral le mythe a été cassé quand je les ai vu sur scène avec leurs armures en plastique de toute façon

Nouvelle version du premier album :

Swedish black metal icons, Dark Funeral, are celebrating three decades of blasphemy with a re-worked version of their debut album.

Dark Funeral (30th Anniversary Edition) is due on August 9 via Century Media Records and has been remixed by David Castillo and re-mastered once again by Thomas "Plec" Johansson.

To celebrate the release and to give fans a taste of the new sonics, the band is now sharing the first re-recorded single, "Open The Gates", along with a visualizer. The clip, which was created by 12 Inch Media, can be found below.

Dark Funeral guitarist and original member Lord Ahriman comments, “In January 1994, Blackmoon (RIP) and I put our entire income and savings into a recording session and pressing 1,000 copies of our 4-track debut Mini-CD. A Mini-CD we released ourselves too. To now reach the significant milestone with an epic 30th anniversary is of course very honourable for me & the band. Three decades of Swedish black metal filled with precious memories. It is now time for us to reflect on what started it all, a 30-year epic journey, filled with experiences and an unbreakable bond. And in this honor, we have breathed new life into these legendary songs & given them an honest but modern update. Enjoy!“
